Club100 northern round 3
Whilton Mill Kart Club

Qualifying - 9th
Pre A Final - 16th
A Final - 15th

Qualifying ๐Ÿ™‚

Overall Round 3 was a really enjoyable weekend with some good racing and extremely tight battles. I had to navigate a lot of traffic in qualifying, but eventually set a solid lap, putting me inside the top 10 of the A group.

Pre - Final ๐Ÿซฃ

I had a very unfortunate start. Getting hooked on the back of another kart caused me to loose a lot of positions. My race only got worse and in my opinion the racing standards were really poor.

A Final ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I yet again had a very unfortunate start, loosing many positions, ending up in 21st after the second lap. However this only made me drive better and I was not letting anyone get in the way of me. Throughout the race I gained back 8 positions and was involved in many close battles. I unfortunatly lost 2 positions on the final lap finishing just above where I started.

Overall a very tough weekend with some very close racing, looking forward to round 4 at Rowrah!!

Club100 Northen round 2
PFI Karting

Qualifying - 7th (B group)
Pre B Final - 4th
B Final - 2nd
A Final - 23rd

We went into round 2 with high hopes, after my accident last year, I was determined to defeat PFI ! However, I stuggled to find pace on the Saturday practice.

QUALI

Come qualifying I had identified where I could gain pace and was feeling positive. I managed to get into a good rythem and set some decent laps, but I didnt have anyone infront of me, and since the slip stream effect is so strong at pfI I was missing out on crucial tenths per lap. Along with this I was given 2 unfortunate penalties for kerbs and track limits resulting in an additional 5 place deduction.

PRE FINAL

The Pre B final was kicked off with a rough start, and I lost a few positions. Dispite this I got stuck in and progressed throughout the race back up to 4th, setting fastest laps all the while. I couldnt catch the top 3 due to time lost at the start of the race, so I had it all to do in the final.

B FINAL

Due to the top 2 being promoted to the A final, I started the B final 2nd. I made a good start and held my position. I was setting fastest laps, and breifely made it up to 1st, but one corner later, I was taken out and dropped back to 6th. I was determined to get promoted to the A final so I battled hard and managed to get back 2nd on the last lap. I crossed the line 0.06 of a second behind 1st!

BONUS FINAL

The rain began to fall at the start of the A final and I was feeling confident. Throughout the race I gained many positions and on the final lap, I managed to get well into the top 10. However, two corners later the race congested up massively, which resulted in another driver on the top of my kart, tearing my radiator off. I crossed the line 23rd.

CONCLUSION

Overall a decent weekend, I would always prefer to be in the A final, but I am of course happy with a trophy. This weekend has given me a reminder of success, and I am full of confidence going into round 3 next weekend!

As always a big thanks to:

Last month I competed in the first round of the IKR winter series at Rowrah. This was my first event of the season, and my first event with my new evo rotax engine. Throughout the weekend I was showing competitive pace for the top 5, and in the end I managed to hold 4th place in the final.

--Season Final--
Club100 rnd 10 - buckmore park
Quali - 11th (A group)
Pre final - 12th
Final - 13th

Championship standings - 20th

After a season of brilliant racing, and some great results, we went into the final round with a positive mindset to end on a high. All throughout the weekends racing, the driving standards were extremely tough, which made for some of the best racing I've competed in all year!

Both in the pre- A final and trophy- A final I lost multiple positions in the first lap, and had to work extremely hard to pull back as many places as posible. As darkness fell, the final race of the year saw some unbelievable pod-to-pod racing, and I couldn't have ended the season on more of a high!

Overall I have finished the season 20th out of 130 drivers in my first junior championship, a belting end to a belting season! We look forward to what the 2025 season will have to bring...

Many thanks to my sponsors:

Club100 Rnd 8+9 Race Report.
(Rowrah+Warden Law)

Rowrah -
After qualifying 18th in the A pre-final, I had a dissapointing start to my first race. The whole start was really unclean, and due to a barrier being nudged, There was a large puddle in the middle of the cuircuit. Understandably someone went through it, missing their braking point and ploughing into me. I did however manage to pull back 3 positions, finishing 21st. In the final I made a made a mistake, the kart locked up and I colided with another driver, deservably getting a 6 place penalty. Overall a weekend to forget, although taking decent points from A final finishes.

Warden Law -
After qualifying 21st in the A group, I had a positive mindset to make up positions and have some fun doing so. Unfortunatly I had more bad luck in the pre final, being in the wrong place at the wrong time, regardless I finished 18th. Even more bad luck came my way in the final, getting caught up in another colision and ending up with my 3rd DNF of the season. Having to watch the race you should have been in is painful, but never the less, we move on, and we're looking forward to the final round at buckmore park next weekend! ๐Ÿซก๐Ÿซก๐Ÿ”œ๐Ÿ”œ

*As always many thanks to my sponsors North West Sealants Ltd*
*And a massive thanyou for CF Racing for getting me to where I am now *

11/08/24 - Llandow Circuit
Rnd 7 Club100

Quali -- 9th (A group)
Pre final -- 9th -> 9th
Final -- 9th -> 15th

First time at Llandow cicuit and I absolutley loved it!
I got to grips with the track quite quickly, finishing high up in practice sessions. When it came to qualifying I ended up starting 9th in the A group.
My pre final went reasonably well, some brilliant battles throughout and I ended up finishing where I started.
Some tough battles in the final resulted in me loosing a number of positions, finishing in 15th. I was still glad with this however, as the past few rounds I have just missed out on getting in the A group.
Overall loved Llandow, and it is now up there with my favourite tracks! Looking forward to Rowrah!!!!

Huge thank you to my sponsors and to Keith Mossop
North West Sealants Ltd for all the support over the weekend ๐Ÿ˜Š

20/07/24 - Whilton Mill

Qualy >>> 12th (B group)
Pre final >>> 12th - 10th
Final >>> 10th - 6th (+ 4 place penalty)

Rnd. 6 of Club100 was a fun and mostly successful event! After a great pratice finishing in 2nd, I couldn't quite get on pace in qualifying meaning I would start 12th position in the pre - B final.
A sudden downpour moments before gridding up resulted in an action packed pre final, where I finished 10th.
With weather conditions drying up, the B trophy final saw a more controled race, and after a long defensive battle, I finished 6th.... then was handed an unfortunate four place penalty๐Ÿ™„.
Overall a fun and successful weekend, looking forward to rnd. 7 at Llandow!!
