I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former jockey, friend and work colleague Michael Byrne. A hard working, honest, loyal and bright character who I had the pleasure of providing nearly 600 rides with 61 of them winning and putting a smile on his face. I am truly devastated for his lovely parents, family and for those he leaves behind. So so sad and such a loss to those around him. Looking back at these photos of Michael doing what he did best on his favourite horses, First Fandango, Lamool, Nathan’s Pride & Oscars Den will be cherished forever.
