Courage Does Not Always Roar 🦁

Courage does not always arrive
with teeth bared
and a roar in its throat.

Sometimes courage trembles.

Sometimes it whispers,
‘I don’t know what happens next.’

Sometimes it stands at the edge
of everything it has known
and takes one step anyway.

Courage is the tender heart
that refuses to become stone.

It is the truth spoken
through a shaking voice.

The boundary drawn
with love still inside it.

The hand that opens
after it has learned
how much closing can protect it.

Courage is not the absence of fear.

It is looking fear in the eyes
and saying,

‘You may walk beside me,
but you will not choose my path.’

There is a lion within you
who does not need to prove
that she is powerful.

She knows.

She rests when she needs to rest.

She rises when she needs to rise.

She walks towards what calls her.

And when the world asks you
to shrink,

to hide,

may you remember her.

You have survived every wilderness
that brought you here.

And you do not need to see
the whole road ahead.

Only the next brave step.

So when the moment comes,

may you soften.

May you trust.

May you step into the arena
of your own life.

Not fearless.

But present.

Open-hearted.

And willing.

That is courage.

Since turning 30 the signs have been flowing in, in absolute abundance. These are some of the ones that have stood out:
1. A recent card pull after deciding after 18months of grieving, being a messy human, self sabotaging, enough is enough. I am now ready to face my emotions head on, and I’m now ready to re-enter my sobriety journey.
2. My spirit baby visits me in rainbows. A few days into making some changes and putting me first this light appeared on my tiled floor. I jumped around the kitchen trying to figure out where it was coming from and could not find the source. When I said allowed “Tallulah, is that you?” The light began to fade. A sign that she’s with me always and I am on the right path, and as hard as it was to give her up, the thread of unconditional love will weave between us always.
3. I pulled two cards at the beginning of a recent cacao, conscious breath and sound ceremony. The hermit and the four of wands. The hermit- introspection, self discovery, isolation. Four of wands- celebration stability harmony. Within the ceremony I had full body tingles and throughout i could feel a spirit hold my right hand, towards the end I felt an object be placed into my hand and the song “the key, the secret”- urban cookie collective came on at full volume in my head! Totally bonkers I know, but it made me laugh and felt like a moment of celebration and harmony to me finding true happiness within myself again (because I AM THE KEY). Well, when I woke up from the ceremony by magic the hermit had turned itself over and the four of ones was left by itself- another confirmation that I am ready for this new chapter.
4. Whilst walking to the pub for dinner this axe was directly in my path, I nearly stood on it. I have Celtic roots, I feel my ancestors were sending me a talisman of protection and to remain strong in my sobriety 🥹- which after receiving this was the easiest thing in the world.
5. I found this sticker on one of my clients while I was treating them. 99-the angel number for completion of a life chapter and readiness to step into your higher purpose.

I am finally emerging from my dark and back into my light. Thank you for the lessons 🫶🏻✨🙏🏻

Life has been tough the past 18months- I have not been kind to myself. I have punished, shamed and guilted myself. It’s the relationship I have with myself that needed to change. It was a necessary part of my journey. I had to unbecome, to become.
I feel this is also why my planning permission for the retreat centre hasn’t come through yet, the universe knew I wasn’t ready.
I’m now ready to remind myself that I am worthy of this life, because I deserve happiness and I am worthy of great things.
The hardships are there to bring clarity and strength so you can step into your next best chapter. Watch out world, here comes Lily 3.0! 😘✨

Note to self 📝

01/07/2026

I have felt pretty low the past few days, and because of this I know it’s even more important to commit to myself even when I don’t want to.
I woke up early and went to a reformers class. Came home had some breakfast and started a new colouring project in the garden.
I then put on a brave face went to work and supported 3 clients.
This evening instead of being with my husband and friends I have forced myself to go out for a skate and then go to a HIIT class after.
Why? Because I deserve to feel small joys on the difficult days.

These stones hold such a special place in my heart. ✨🤍
Legend says the Knights could tell the fortunes of young women here… and whether that’s true or not, there’s something undeniably magical about this place.

Standing barefoot in the centre of the Knights’ Circle, I felt such a deep sense of being held by the earth. 🥹🫶🏻🙏🏻
