πŸ₯‹ 6 Years of Commitment to Safeguarding πŸ›‘οΈ

We are extremely proud to announce that Impact TaeKwon-Do has achieved the Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts for the 6th consecutive year!

For us, safeguarding isn't simply a certificate or a box that needs to be ticked. It represents an ongoing commitment to providing a safe, welcoming and responsible environment where children and young adults can train, learn and develop with confidence.

Parents place a huge amount of trust in us when they bring their children through our doors. We take that responsibility very seriously.

Martial arts instructors can become important role models in a young person's life, so maintaining high standards of safeguarding, professional conduct and good practice is an essential part of running our Academy.

We want every student at Impact TaeKwon-Do to feel safe, respected, supported and valued, allowing them to concentrate on enjoying their training and becoming the very best version of themselves.

Achieving the Safeguarding Code for a sixth consecutive year is something we are incredibly proud of and reinforces our commitment to maintaining those standards year after year.

Because providing great TaeKwon-Do tuition is important β€” but providing a safe environment in which to learn it is essential. πŸ₯‹

One of our Blue Stripe students working hard on the finer details of her side kick.

At this stage of training, it's not simply about being able to perform the technique. We want students to understand the importance of stance, chamber, balance, foot position, hip rotation & accuracy β€” the small details that turn a basic kick into an effective martial arts technique.

These skills are important for patterns and sparring, but TaeKwon-Do also has a very practical purpose: self-defence.

We believe it is particularly important that young female students have the confidence, awareness and skills to protect themselves if they ever find themselves in an unsafe situation. Of course, physical techniques are only one part of self-defence β€” awareness, confidence, avoidance and knowing when to seek help are equally important.

Our aim is never to look for confrontation. It's to give them the confidence, discipline and ability to respond appropriately if they ever need to.

A huge well done to one of our Blue Stripe students, who has been working incredibly hard over the past few weeks to achieve his box splits!

Developing this level of flexibility takes patience, consistency and determination. It doesn't happen overnight β€” it comes from setting a goal, putting in the work and refusing to give up.

For martial artists, improved flexibility can help develop greater range of motion, better kicking technique, improved mobility and stronger control through kicking movements. It's an important part of becoming a well-rounded TaeKwon-Do practitioner.

At Impact TaeKwon-Do, we encourage all of our students to challenge themselves in every aspect of their training β€” whether that's fitness, flexibility, technique, patterns, sparring or simply becoming more confident.

You don't have to be the best in the class. You just need to work towards becoming better than you were yesterday.

We’ve had some brilliant photographs coming through for our annual Summer Side Kick Competition, with our students showing plenty of creativity, confidence and TaeKwon-Do spirit.

The challenge is simple β€” get out there, find an interesting location and show us your best side kick!

It’s fantastic to see everyone getting involved, from our newest beginners right through to our experienced students.

Another fantastic entry from one of our amazing Yellow Stripe students! πŸ‘

I’m particularly proud to see so many of our beginner students getting involved in this year’s Summer Side Kick Challenge. It takes confidence to step outside the Dojang, find an interesting location and have a go β€” and some of the entries we’ve received so far have been absolutely brilliant!

The competition isn't just about having the best kick. It's about having fun, being creative, building confidence and getting involved.

It's fantastic to see our newest members embracing the challenge and showing exactly what they're capable of.

Keep those entries coming… we've got some great competition! πŸ‘€πŸ₯‹

One of our Yellow Stripe juniors is currently in Switzerland with his Scout group and, despite being miles away from the Dojang, he still managed to find time for some TaeKwon-Do!

His parents kindly sent me this amazing photograph of him performing a kick against the backdrop of the beautiful Swiss mountains β€” and what a setting it is! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡πŸ₯‹

Even better, he's entered the picture into our Annual Summer Side Kick Competition!

Fantastic effort and a brilliant example of how TaeKwon-Do becomes part of your life, wherever you are in the world.

One of our White Belts showing fantastic focus during his stretching today. Even as a beginner, developing flexibility is an important part of TaeKwon-Do training.

Regular stretching can help improve range of movement, kicking technique, balance and body control. It also helps students move more comfortably and safely as they develop their martial arts skills.

Good flexibility doesn't happen overnight. It takes patience, consistency and regular practice β€” and that's exactly what we love to see from our students.

Great focus today! Keep working hard and those kicks will keep getting better! πŸ‘Š

A big welcome to one of our latest new starter, who proudly received his brand new Dobok tonight!

It's always fantastic to see the excitement when a new student receives their first uniform. It marks the beginning of a very special journey β€” one filled with new skills, challenges, friendships and plenty of opportunities to grow in confidence.

He's already settling into the Academy brilliantly, and we look forward to watching him develop and progress over the coming months.

Welcome to the Impact TaeKwon-Do family β€” keep working hard and enjoy the journey! πŸ₯‹πŸ‘

Some of our Green Belts and Blue Stripes working hard on their patterns, focusing on one of the most important parts of TaeKwon-Do β€” getting the fundamentals right.

Strong stances, correct technique, balance, timing and control don't happen by accident. They come from repetition, attention to detail and being prepared to go back to the basics time and time again.

Patterns aren't simply about remembering the movements. They are about understanding how each technique should be performed and developing the precision needed as students progress through the ranks.

Excellent effort from everyone tonight. Keep working on those details β€” they really do make the difference! πŸ‘Š

πŸ’₯ One kick. One wooden board. One unforgettable achievement. πŸ₯‹

Board breaking is about so much more than strength. It teaches students to trust their technique, commit with confidence and overcome the doubt that can creep into their minds.

For many children, breaking woodem boards is a moment they'll remember for years. It shows them that with practice, determination and belief in themselves, they are capable of achieving things they once thought were impossible.

That's what TaeKwon-Do is all aboutβ€”not just building stronger kicks, but building stronger, more confident kids.
