With predator season approaching very fast.
Only a matter of weeks untill October 1st. I spent a few hours this morning rebraiding my predator reels and sorting lures out in all there glorious colours ,shapes and sizes .
And for once I’m actually ready to start walking them banks this winter.
I literally can’t wait to catch my first Pike of the year. Hopefully a big momma to lol.
Does anybody else predator / lure fish ??
It would be fun to get out on the bank with a few of yous this winter for a session

What a tough day.
With the amount of water thats entered Coventry canal and it rose about one foot in a day and was still rising
I should of knew it would be difficult, and it was.
On my way to area I wanted to fish I stopped and chatted to quite a few other anglers gathering information to how it was fishing . They all said the same thing. It’s really quiet.
Not letting this dampen my enthusiasm I got there quickly tackled up baited up and went about my day.
Two hours passed not so much as a bite. I was fishing hard on the deck in around four feet of water.
Then it hit me!!
All the cold water would of sank straight to the bottom. No wounder there wasn’t no bites. My bait was in the cold water.
So gradually I kept shallowing up inch by inch and finally found some fish about half depth it was only Roach Rudd and perch and few skimmers and silver bream and small ones too . But it was a start.
This continued for the rest of the day everything was shallow in the top two feet of water even the big Perch I caught which came out of nowhere .what a nice surprise.
So I finished up with around. 5lb in weight. Not bad considering I couldn’t get the larger bronze and silver Bream feeding.
Still had a great day on the Coventry canal
