Sadly no cup shock today, but the lads put in a good shift. Unlucky to find themselves 1-0 down on 40mins, and 1-0 down at HT. The second half very similar to the 1st, but Leiston’s superior fitness levels saw them double their lead on 75mins. A brief revival saw Carlton have couple chances near the end but a late Leiston 3rd saw them take victory. The Saxons can be proud making their Senior opponents work and fight for the victory. We just didn’t have the luck on our side today in front of goal.

Not talking about 1st, Res or Devs tonight 🫣 But let’s congratulate the Crown team though who started their title defence with a good, hard earn win against Mutford 4-2. Now on to the oldies! Our vets tomorrow will be using the ole 3in1 oil & wd40 tonight, preparing themselves for there opening league game. More importantly after the game the lads be looking forward to nice b**r together before returning back to their care homes. ⚔️

Away Day for our 1st team this week who travel to face Hethersett AFC, a first ever meeting between the two clubs. We are looking to build on the tough 3-0 win vs Bungay. Whilst Hethersett will be looking to build on their opening day draw comeback vs Earsham. 2-0 down at HT but come back to salvage a draw, and unluckily not a win!
