🟢⚫️ INVESTING IN OUR FUTURE ⚫️🟢

At Corsham CC, we’re incredibly proud to be investing heavily in the future of our club and, most importantly, in our members.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been undertaking a major and significant investment in our playing facilities, with 6 of our cricket wickets being completely relaid, alongside the addition of 2 brand-new grass practice pitches.

These wickets haven’t been laid for over 25 years, so this is a huge project for the club and one that will benefit generations of Corsham cricketers to come.

And it comes at a time when our pitches are already performing exceptionally well. This season, our 1st XI received the highest pitch marks in the division, while our 2nd XI received the second-highest marks. 👏

So why invest?

Because standing still isn’t enough.

We want to continue providing our players with the best possible environment to train, develop and play cricket. Better facilities mean better pitches, better cricket and ultimately a better experience for everyone who represents, supports and belongs to Corsham CC.

This is about more than just relaying wickets. It’s about building for the future.

It’s about our junior players who will hopefully go on to play senior cricket. It’s about our current members. It’s about attracting new players. And it’s about making sure Corsham CC continues to thrive for many years to come.

🟢⚫️ 1st XI SEASON REVIEW ⚫️🟢

That’s a wrap on the 1st XI season!

A huge congratulations to the side for battling hard right through to the end, finishing the season in style with 8 wins in a row. 💪

An early-season injury to captain Charley Reed was a setback, alongside a couple of early season losses put the side on the back foot but the squad showed great resilience (19 different players featured) with some outstanding individual and team performances helping us finish the season 2nd. 🥈

18 played | 12 won | 3 lost | 3 abandoned | 2nd place

The run charts were lead by the brilliant Alex Lee-young (sponsored by Neon Cricket ) while Tommy Foley (sponsored by The Bench) produced his usual high level of quality bowling to snare 32 wickets. Also big shout out to Mikey Reynolds for his brilliant all-round performances slotting in at 2nd on both our run and wickets charts

Plenty to be proud of from this group — and a brilliant way to finish the season. 👏

🟢⚫️ 2nd XI SEASON REVIEW ⚫️🟢

A season that ultimately ended in relegation, but one that showed plenty of effort, character and commitment from everyone involved.

With 29 players representing the Second XI and five different captains taking the reins throughout the season, consistency was always going to be a challenge. Injuries played a significant part, disrupting the team and making it difficult to build momentum, while our batting was simply not strong enough often enough to turn competitive positions into results.

There were, however, some excellent individual performances and plenty of occasions where the team showed exactly what it is capable of. The effort never dropped, even when results went against us, and importantly, the team spirit endured throughout the season.

Theo Todhunter (sponsored by ) was the teams leading run scorer and Jon Parker (sponsored by Elevate Cloud Ltd ) again led the way with the most wickets

Relegation is disappointing, but it provides an opportunity to regroup, rebuild and come back stronger. With a strong crop of Corsham CC academy players coming through, there is plenty to be excited about for the future.

We’ll take the lessons from this season, embrace the next generation enjoy visiting some new grounds and go again in 2027.

🟢⚫️ 3rd XI SEASON REVIEW ⚫️🟢

A fantastic team effort from the 3rds, with 31 different players featuring throughout the season and plenty of contributions across the squad. Finishing with 7 wins from 18 games, there were some excellent individual performances to complement a real all-round team effort.

🏏 Top run scorers were P. Turner – 531 with 2 brilliant 150+ scores to show his power & C. Andrew – 293 (sponsored by The Cricket Boutique) before his horrible season ending injury.

🎯 Top wicket takers were the ever reliable Lily Day & the fast improving .har53 both with 17

A season built on depth, commitment and everyone playing their part. A huge well done to everyone who pulled on the shirt and contributed to the 3rds this year!

🟢⚫️ 4th TEAM SEASON REVIEW ⚫️🟢

Over the next few days we’ll recap our senior teams performances this season, starting with our 4th XI.

Congrats to (sponsored by Hong Kong House) on leading the run charts and to for taking the most wickets as the 4ths claimed a highly respectable 4th place in Div 8.

An excellent season for the team with some truly brilliant displays on an almost weekly basis
