🏉 Join the Upper Eden RUFC Social Committee! 🏉

Do you enjoy organising events, have ideas to bring people together, or simply want to give something back to the club?

We’re looking for new members to join our Social Committee! No experience is needed – just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.

The committee is responsible for organising our social events and fundraising throughout the year. Every event helps raise vital funds to support the club, improve our facilities, invest in equipment, and provide opportunities for players of all ages.

Whether you can help with planning, setting up, promoting events, or just lend a hand when you can, we’d love to have you on board.

📅 Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

Congratulations to our inaugural Kirkby Stephen Scarecrow Festival Winner, (Number 5) 121 High Street with their Galactic Hiker, it was truly out of this world!!

Top 5 results as follows:
1st - 121 High Street - 58 Votes
2nd- Maureen @ Swadsville & The Old Forge - 14 Votes
3rd- 1 Charter Gardens - 8 Votes
4th- Stobars Hall- 7 Votes
5th- The White Hare, The Old Croft House & Fletcher Hill Ladies- 5 Votes

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone that made and displayed their scarecrows this year and made the trail so fantastic. We have sold over 100 maps so great to see it’s been a hit with the local community🤩

While we look forward to next years event we would like to politely ask that voters do so in the spirit in which this event is intended. It has come to our attention that people have attempted to rig the vote this year, this is a fun community event that we would like to continue for many years and lots of people put hard work and effort into pulling this together and making their scarecrows. Attempts at vote rigging are not in the community spirit and evident rigged votes have been disqualified from the count.

With nexts years theme being Films/Movies you’ve plenty of time to get your thinking caps on for next years scarecrow festival which will take place on August bank holiday weekend (Saturday 28th - Monday 30th August).

🐄💩 Cow Splat Winner! 💩🐄

A huge thank you to everyone who purchased a square for our Cow Splat fundraiser – your support is hugely appreciated! 👏

An even bigger thank you to P & K Brannen for supplying Unique, who certainly lived up to her name and did the all-important splat on the rugby pitch! 🐄😂

The pitch was divided into 212 squares, which were then randomly mixed up. Square numbers were allocated based on the date and time each ticket was purchased.

🥳 The winning splat landed on Square 44, belonging to Sarah Rose, who takes home 25% of the ticket sales! Congratulations, Sarah! 🎉

Thank you once again to everyone who bought a square and supported our Bank Holiday weekend event. Your support helps make events like these possible, and we couldn’t do it without you! 🤍🖤

It’s day two of the b**r & gin festival & scarecrow festival! What’s on at the rugby club today…

🍻2PM Kick Off Cumbria Rans V Upper Eden Vets - BBQ available with Burgers, Cheesy burgers & hot dogs from Sanderson’s butchers😋🍔🌭

🍻4PM Cow Splat! One Cow- One Splat. Our rugby pitch will be divided up into virtual squares which are available to purchase at £5 per square. We will then release our cow unique who will do his business on the pitch. Whichever square he lands on will be the one to win! The winner will receive 25% of the total ticket sales with a potential prize fund of up to £5000* - Subject to ticket sales!

A small auction will take place with some incredible prizes up for grabs!
