Congratulations to Rachel, Kioni, Olivia & Raffi on their performances at Summer Nationals! We could not be prouder of them all and the efforts they have put in at the end of a long season.

Qualifying for these galas was an achievement in itself and then for them to come back with a host of pb’s, make 3 finals & a club record between them is fantastic!!

🏊🏻‍♀️Special mention to our finalists Kioni, Raffi & Olivia 🏊🏻‍♀️
🏊🏻‍♀️Congratulations to Olivia for her club record in the 16&u 100m backstroke (LC) in a new time of 1:12:90🏊🏻‍♀️

Wishing good luck and fast swims to Olivia & Kioni over the next few days competing against the best in Ireland at the National Youth & Senior Championships in Dublin. A long season of early mornings, late nights & lots of metres, dedication in and out of the pool from them and their coaches have got them here and couldn’t be prouder of them.

had a busy end to the season!!

We celebrated the last year, and said good bye to our leaving swimmers, including our captains Lauren & Daniel, in our Crawford Gala - a club wide ‘relays with a twist’ - lots of close races and a lot of fun with a win for Team Daniel!

We also took the opportunity to thank two of our coaches - Steph & Julie S - who are hanging up their coache’s whistles. Over the years both have dedicated so much their time and talents to our swimmers and will be very much missed.

We followed this up with our annual trip to the Lake Kilrea - this is always a much looked forward to trip and lots of craic!!

Meanwhile two of our swimmers were competing in the Swim Ulster Swim Festival and they are home with lots of bling!!
Jessica 1st 50 back, 50 free, 100 free 2nd 50 fly, 100 fly, 3rd 100 back
Tara 1st 100 breast, 100 back, 100 fly, 2nd 100 free.

Finally we were honoured to join other representatives from clubs across Ulster at a reception in Stormont to celebrate 40 years of Junior League Swimming. Our younger swimmers love and have loved competing in this league - in fact some of our original Teletot swimmers are now coaching the current generation of Aquasprinters!! Our thanks to everyone involved in organising this competition and to Maddie, Christine, Caden & Mike for representing us on the day.

For most a well earned rest until September and wishing good luck to those who have qualified for national finals in Limerick & Dublin this month!!

Last weekend saw 10 of our swimmers head to Bangor for the Swim Ulster Age Group & Senior long course Championships. Held over three days, swimming against the best in Ulster, qualifying for this is reward for all the effort they put in in training and racing throughout the season.

We couldn’t be prouder of the efforts they put in - lots of big swims, 24 new pb’s, 10 final qualifying times & some bling headed back to the North Coast. It was also encouraging to see some of our swimmers qualifying and doing well in distance events.

While they all deserve celebrating - some special shout outs to:

Kioni: 🥈2nd 50m backstroke, 6th 100m backstroke

Raffi: 8th 100m breaststroke, 7th 100m frontcrawl, 🥈2nd 50m breaststroke 🥉3rd 50m frontcrawl & 4th 100m butterfly

Tara: 9th 50m breaststroke

Campbell: 🥉 3rd 50m backstroke

Rachel: 4th 1500m frontcrawl.

We also have to celebrate two new record breakers!

What a fantastic few nights we have had at the Christine McIntosh Memorial Gala, competed by Coleraine, Limavady and Ballymoney Swimming Clubs 🏊‍♂️

The gala was a brilliant celebration of swimming, filled with fun, energy, and some truly impressive performances in the pool. Most importantly, it was a meaningful way to remember Christine and the incredible impact she had across all three clubs. Her legacy continues to inspire so many swimmers.

After two very close nights of racing Coleraine Swimming Club were delighted to be crowned overall winners, followed by Limavady Swimming Club in second place and Ballymoney Swimming Club in third 👏

Well done to every swimmer who took part, along with all medal winners and skins champions—you should be very proud of your achievements!

Thank you to everyone who helped make the gala such a success and joined with us to honour Christine. 💙
