🌿 PLAY. MOVE. LUNCH. 🌿

We’ve teamed up with Gentle Explorers to create a little Wednesday morning treat for you and your little one! 💜

Start your morning with nature-led indoor messy play, then enjoy a FREE tea or coffee before heading next door for a Sweaty Mama workout at 11am. 🥰

Afterwards, why not round off the morning with lunch at Bay Leaves Larder? ☕️🍰

And there’s a little extra perk…

✨ Book one of our sessions and you’ll get a one-time discount on the other! ✨

So you can make a whole morning of it — play, coffee, workout, lunch, and hopefully a very happy (and slightly tired!) little one. 😂💜

The offer is for next Wednesday only.

If you’ve booked (or are booking) one of the sessions, message either of us and we’ll send you the details of the one-time offer.

Come as you are. Babies and little ones are very welcome at Sweaty Mama — feeds, cuddles, crawling and all! 💜

This National Fitness Day, we’re celebrating the important role movement plays in postnatal health. Regular movement can also support your energy, mood and overall wellbeing, helping you feel stronger and more confident as you navigate life as a mum.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to postnatal exercise. It’s about finding movement that feels right for you, at your stage of recovery, and remembering that even a little can make a difference.

Come along to our class and get moving - click the link in bio or drop me a DM 😊

September = back to routine 🍂

School runs, nursery, work, clubs, laundry… and somewhere amongst all of that, it’s easy to forget about yourself.

So if you’ve been thinking about getting back into something for YOU this September, this is your sign. 💜

Come as you are, bring your little one, and enjoy 45 minutes of music, movement and time with other mums who get it.

Your first Sweaty Mama class is FREE — come and see if it’s for you. 💜

“Why does my back ache so much since having a baby?”

If you’ve ever asked yourself this, you’re definitely not alone!

Think about how much your body does every day as a mum…

👶 Feeding and holding your baby
🧸 Picking things up from the floor
🚗 Carrying car seats
🛒 Pushing the pram
🛁 Lifting and carrying your little one
…and doing approximately 400 other things while slightly bent over 😂

Pregnancy and birth can also change your posture, strength and the way you move, so it’s not surprising that your back can sometimes feel the effects.

Regular movement, building strength and improving mobility can all be helpful ways to look after your body.

And you don’t need to wait until you’re “fit enough” to start. Small amounts of movement count too. ❤️

Persistent, severe or worsening pain? It’s always worth speaking to a healthcare professional.

Does your back notice how much you do as a mum?! 😂

Self-Care September 🌿

Get outside. Move your body. Let the kids run around. Take a deep breath.
It doesn’t have to be a big workout or a perfectly planned day.
Sometimes a little fresh air is exactly what we need. ❤️

Some days, I genuinely wonder how I’m going to make it to bedtime. 😅

Today is one of those days.

I’m tired. Frazzled. Overstimulated. My brain feels like it has about 47 tabs open and I’m pretty sure at least 12 of them are playing music. 😂

And honestly? Right now, I don’t particularly feel like exercising.

But I KNOW what’s coming.

In just over an hour, I’ll be dancing around a room with my evening mamas, music blasting, laughing, moving and letting the day disappear for 45 minutes.

And those endorphins will kick in. 💃🏼

It never fails to give me the mood boost I need.

That’s one of the reasons I love what I do so much. It’s not about burning off your dinner or making up for what you ate. It’s about giving yourself a little bit of time where you can switch off, move your body and come out feeling like you again.

So if today has left you feeling frazzled too… maybe you don’t need more to-do lists.

Maybe you just need some music. 💜

See you on the other side of the endorphins, mamas. 😉 ******ermums

A little introduction from me 👋🏼💕

If you’re new around here, I’m Lucy — mum of two, former primary school teacher and the face behind Sweaty Mama Wi******er.

I retrained in pre and postnatal fitness after having my own children, and I love being able to bring something to local mums where they can get stronger, move their bodies and feel part of something.

But honestly, one of my favourite things about this job is the people. The chats, the laughs, the little ones joining in and watching mums grow in confidence. 🥰

And if you’re someone who’s been thinking about coming along but feels a bit nervous… I get it! I still get nervous about new things too.

So if you’re new here, hi! 👋🏼 And if you’ve been with me for a while, thank you for being part of it. ❤️

Tell me something about you in the comments — are you a new follower or have you been around for a while? 👀

Thursday night plans? 👀💃🏼

45 minutes to yourself. Great music. A proper workout. And a room full of mums having a LOT of fun while they’re at it! 🙌🏼

Sweaty Mama POWER is our mums-only evening class — no babies, no toddlers, no school run… just you, moving, sweating and having a bit of fun. 💪🏼

Whether you’re getting back into exercise or you’re ready to turn things up a little, you can work at your own level and make it as challenging as you like.

If you’ve ever looked at a baby-friendly fitness class and wondered…

“But what if my baby cries?”
“What if I need to feed them?”
“What if my toddler doesn’t sit still?”
“What if I’m not very fit?”

The answer is… that’s exactly why classes like this exist! 💕

At Sweaty Mama, you don’t need to have everything perfectly organised before you arrive. Babies can feed, sleep, crawl and explore. Toddlers can be toddlers 😂 And you can exercise at a level that feels right for you.

Because fitness after having a baby doesn’t need to look like the gym. Sometimes it looks like doing squats while your baby watches you. Sometimes it involves stopping halfway through to feed them. And sometimes it involves chasing a toddler across the room!

And that’s all completely normal ❤️

Have you ever worried about something before trying a class with your little one? I’d love to know what it was!
