The International Tae Kwon Do Federation has been completing some research into Females within our Martial Art πŸ₯‹

Nothing makes me prouder than seeing a young girl/female join Tae Kwon Do as I know what the martial art has given to me πŸ₯‹

There are so many skills that make their way out of the training hall and not just for females - boys and males alike. It brings confidence, discipline and respect to all areas of life. Especially when these are formed from a young age πŸ₯‹

If you are interested in joining or considering it for your child. Do not hesitate to contact us and book your first free lesson πŸ₯‹

πŸ₯‹ WOMEN OF ITF: INSPIRING THE NEXT GENERATION πŸ₯‹

The ITF Women's Committee and ITF Coaches Committee are pleased to share the results of the ITF Women in Coaching Survey.

This project was undertaken to better understand the experiences of female instructors, teachers, coaches, mentors and leaders across the ITF, identify opportunities for growth and help guide future initiatives that support women at all levels of instruction and leadership.

Over the coming weeks, we will share key findings from the survey, highlight the experiences and perspectives of women from around the world, and discuss how this feedback will help shape future programs, resources and opportunities within the ITF.

We would like to thank all of the women who took the time to share their experiences, insights and recommendations. Their voices have provided valuable guidance as we work to create a more supportive, inclusive and sustainable environment for women throughout the ITF.

Together, we can learn from these experiences, celebrate the contributions of women across our organization and continue building opportunities for future generations.

Today, we celebrate a truly historic milestone.

On 2nd July 1967, First Grand Master Rhee Ki-ha introduced ITF Taekwon-Do to the United Kingdom, laying the foundations for what would become a thriving martial arts community that continues to inspire generations.

Over the past 59 years, that vision has grown stronger than ever. From humble beginnings to thousands of dedicated practitioners across Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, the legacy of First Grand Master Rhee Ki-ha lives on through every student, instructor, and club.

At ITF Scotland, we are proud to be part of this incredible journey and to continue promoting the tenets of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit.

Here's to celebrating our rich history, honouring those who paved the way, and looking forward to an even brighter future for ITF Taekwon-Do across the UK.

Happy 59th Anniversary to the introduction of Taekwon-do in the UK πŸ₯‹
