A game that had absolutely everything at St Ambrose yesterday.

The first half was a frustrating one, with very little to separate the sides — other than a baffling red card for John Hamilton, which saw us face the remaining 55 minutes with 10 men.

Despite being a man down, the lads showed incredible fight and desire after the break.
We took the lead from a corner when Kieren Reynolds rose highest at the back post to head home, with Lewis Maher providing the assist.

Glendale would respond by levelling before then taking the lead, but we refused to fold. With just four minutes remaining, the pressure finally paid off as Nathan Gray found the equaliser, assisted by Conor Rankin. We could have even snatched all three points late on, but it wasn’t to be.

A point earned through fight after playing the majority of the game with 10 men.

Another A&C AFL Division 1 test awaits us this Sunday as we head away to Cowie.

The lads have had a really good week at training, putting in the work, getting the intensity up and preparing for what will be another tough game.

Now it’s time to take that work onto the pitch as we look to bounce back after last weeks game.

Our second A&C AFL Division 1 fixture of the season is here.

League action again this Sunday as we welcome Central Amateurs to Riverbank Community Hub for our first home game of the season.

After a brilliant 7–0 away win against Cadzow Thistle on the opening day, the lads will be looking to carry that momentum into our first home game.

We got our campaign off to a flying start with a dominant 7–0 victory over Cadzow Thistle.

We got off to the perfect start, taking the lead inside just two minutes. John Hamilton finished clinically after being played in by Lewis O’Brien.

John doubled the advantage soon after when Conor Rankin clipped a ball into the box, allowing John to rise highest and head home for 2–0.

Just after the 15-minute mark, Kieren Reynolds added a third following some excellent play from Albion. We continued to control the game and went into the break 3–0 ahead.

Four minutes into the second half, Peter Dolan was shown a red card, leaving Albion down to ten men. Despite the setback, the team continued to perform at a high level and refused to let the result slip.

Kieren grabbed his second of the afternoon to make it 4–0, with John Hamilton providing the assist.

John then turned provider again as Aidan Kirkwood made it 5–0.

The scoring continued as Nathan Gray found the net for 6–0, assisted by Jordan Conner.

And there was still time for Kieren to complete his hat-trick, with Andy Russell providing the assist to make it 7–0.

A fantastic team performance, particularly after going down to ten men, and a brilliant way to begin our first league campaign.

The wait is finally over league football is back

After a busy pre-season, we’re ready to get our 2026/27 campaign underway. After weeks of hard work we begin the campaign this Sunday with a trip to face Cadzow Thistle AFC.

First game First challenge and we will be aiming to make a positive start on the road.

The wait is over the fixtures are set and opponents are now confirmed.

A fresh campaign brings new opportunities and new tests for the team, everyone is raring to go after the hard work put in during the season.

Pre-season preparations continue this Sunday as we make the trip to face Bellgrove AFC in another important test ahead of the new campaign.

After an impressive 6-2 victory over Cadzow Thistle, the boys will be looking to build on another strong performance and continue gaining momentum as we edge closer to the start of the season. With the squad continuing to gel, it’s another great opportunity to sharpen up against quality opposition.

We’d love to see plenty of support as the squad continues its preparations for the upcoming campaign.
