Led by elite coaches Desmond Clark and Claire Turnbull, bringing high-level experience, energy, and proven development to every session.

Des and Claire will be working together across both days to deliver focused, high-intensity on-ice development that pushes players forward.

Over two days, players will focus on:
• Power skating and edge control
• Acceleration and speed
• Game-relevant movement
• Confidence and efficiency on the ice

With 5 hours of ice guaranteed, this is real development time — not just drills, but progression.

💥 Off-ice training delivered by SL Pro Athletes
Players will take part in performance-based sessions designed to improve strength, movement, and athletic ability — all built to transfer directly onto the ice.

Coach reveal 🔥 Claire Turnbull

GB captain. NHL programme lead. This is elite.

Claire Turnbull brings international leadership and top level coaching experience to the ice. Former captain of the GB Students Women’s Ice Hockey Team, she knows exactly what it takes to perform, lead, and deliver at the highest level.

As Lead Coach for the NHL Street Hockey Programme in the UK, Claire is at the forefront of developing players across the country, working within one of the biggest hockey brands in the world.

On the ice, she continues to set the standard. Competing at Division 1 level with Caledonia Steel Queens and for Whitley Bay Beacons, and now developing the next generation with Clan Academy.

She also made history as the first female coach at the Best of British Ice Hockey Camps.

Working alongside Des Clark, this is a coaching duo bringing serious quality to the ice.

Coach Reveal:

Desmond Clark 🇨🇦

Raised in Canada, where hockey is more than a sport, Desmond Clark developed his game in the heart of true hockey culture. With over 15 years of playing and skating experience, including time with the Kanata Blazers, Desmond brings authentic Canadian hockey knowledge and elite skating fundamentals to every session he leads.

A defining influence on Desmond’s development was training under Karen Savoie Julien, who is affiliated with the Boston Bruins 2011 Stanley Cup championship winning team. Learning under a coach connected to a Stanley Cup–winning programme helped shape Desmond’s high-performance approach to skating, edge control, and elite skill development.

Desmond now brings that experience to the ice as a specialist skating and skills coach with the Dundee Stars, while also contributing to player development within Scotland’s national pathway.

Known for his high-energy coaching style and technical attention to detail, Desmond focuses on building powerful skating foundations, sharpening puck skills, and helping players unlock the next level of their game.

Players attending this camp will have the opportunity to train with a coach bringing Canadian hockey pedigree and Stanley Cup–level coaching influence directly to the ice. 🏒🔥
