It's Drowning Prevention Week, and our theme this week is Water Safety. 🛟
Throughout the week, we'll be helping our swimmers build important lifesaving skills and sharing simple tips that can help keep children safe in and around water.
Because learning to swim is about more than strokes...it's about confidence, awareness and staying safe. 💜

A huge shoutout to Ben for being the star of the month for May.

Ben has been selected for his commitment and dedication which is hugely appreciated💙.

He always arrives with a huge smile and he consistently brings high energy and enthusiasm every shift which swimmers really engage with in his lesson.

A massive congratulations to Callum on an incredible performance at the DSA (Dwarf Sports Association) National Games last weekend! 🏅🏊‍♂️
Callum’s Mum wanted to say a huge thank you to Charley and the entire Coatbridge team for all their hard work and support in helping him prepare for the event.
Callum finished the swimming competition today with an amazing FOUR medals:
🥇 Gold – 25m Butterfly
🥈 Silver – 25m Breaststroke
🥉 Bronze – 25m Backstroke
🥉 Bronze – Front Crawl
What an outstanding achievement — we’re all so proud of you, Callum! 👏

The small things that make a BIG difference to our swimmers’ safety, confidence, hygiene and overall experience in the pool. 💙

🧢 Swimming Hats
All swimmers are required to wear an official swim! swimming hat during lessons. Our hats are colour coded to help teachers quickly identify ability groups, improve pool hygiene and motivate swimmers as they progress through the programme and achieve their next colour! If you need a hat, please speak to our reception team who will be happy to help.

👣 Blue Shoe Cover Policy
Please continue to wear blue shoe covers in all changing rooms, viewing areas and poolside spaces. This helps us keep our centre clean, hygienic and safe for all swimmers.

🧺 Changing Room Facilities
To help provide a fast, safe and efficient changing room experience for everyone, we kindly ask all families to avoid leaving belongings inside changing cubicles and instead use the lockers provided. This helps keep the changing areas tidy while ensuring swimmers’ belongings remain safe and secure. You can arrive “swim ready” by wearing costumes, trunks or swim shorts underneath their onesies/clothing too!

🚿 Pre-Swim Showers
A quick shower before lessons helps improve water quality and hygiene standards for everyone using the pool.

💪 Warm Up Video
Before lessons begin, our warm up video helps activate muscles, energise swimmers and get bodies ready for a fantastic lesson ahead!

🛟 Arm discs
For our younger swimmers in Swim 1 and Swim 2, armbands are an important part of keeping children safe, confident and happy in the water while they learn.
