Congratulations to JARVIES BAR who retained the summer cup 🏆 after a thriller on monday night at MACS.

The match was perfectly poised at 5-5 after the 1st leg in JARVIES a week ago.

JARVIES started the match well racing to a 2-0 lead then 3-1 before MACS came storming back to make it 3-3 at the break.

Next up the galleon and tbh we're still scratching our heads how we never won this our galleon team of Connor Morrison, Kevin Keegan and Ali O Keeffe raced into a commanding lead but unfortunately for us couldn't hit the double when it mattered and JARVIES took full advantage to make it 4-3.

On to the doubles and 1st up for us was the pairing of Connor and Ali who managed to make it 4-4 with connor taking out a 106 finish to take the point.

JARVIES then made it 5-4 by taking the next game 2-0.
Where again we had darts at doubles in both legs but just couldnt finish.

So it came down to the final doubles to decide if we went to a play off or if the cup was going back with the JARVIES boys.

Our last pairing was Donnie Kelly and Alex and they started well winning the first leg but alas the guys couldn't finish the job and unfortunately lost the next 2 having missed darts to win the game in the 2nd and 3rd legs.

Great night of darts again played in great spirits as usual. All games were very close and the match could have went either way but tonight the JARVIES boys took their chances well 👏👏👏

Next up for us is a friendly v CHANDLER'S BAR this coming monday in Mackintoshs Bar Dalmuir.

Tomorrow evening we welcome the boys from Jarvies bar to Macs for the 2nd leg of the summer cup.
The match is beautifully balanced at 5-5 after last week's 1st leg so all still to play for and tomorrows result will determine who takes the cup!!!

JARVIES BAR 5-5 MACS LOUNGE

Great night of darts at jarvies for the 1st leg of the summer cup. Bit of a threadbare squad for us with only 6 players to start the tie with a few guys still on holiday and another few unavailable. We started the match well with our latest recruit Alex winning his first head to head for us and making it 1-0. Jarvies fought back to take a 4-2 lead into the break. We then took the galleon and the score to 4-3 heading into the doubles. Jarvies won the first doubles to make it 5-3 and had victory in their sights but we managed to win the last 2 doubles matches to secure the draw. In the end probably the right result as most of the matches were very close.
Nice to get back to playing although you could see there were a few rusty players.
And a great night full of banter always a laugh when we play jarvies....thanks for having us.

Special shout out to our own Ali O Keeffe who had a great night and Kevin Keegan who remained unbeaten all night winning his singles,doubles and galleon!!

Well done guys 👏👏👏

Onto next monday and the 2nd leg in macs where the destination of the cup for the 2026/27 season will be decided.

Our preparations for the upcoming season begin tonight with the first leg of our summer cup tie against Jarvies @ Jarvies. We'll be hoping to wrestle the cup back from jarvies after narrowly losing last year's 2 legged tie 11-9.
Our record against jarvies last season in the league played 2 won 2 both by an 8-2 scoreline.

Should be a cracker to kick start our preseason!!!

MACS LOUNGE 8-2 JAVIES BAR

On monday night we played our last home game of the season v Jarvies bar.

Always a tough test against them but we managed to make it 2/2 in league by winning 8-2 for the second time this season.

We started well and took the singles 5-1 only losing 3 legs in the process.

Our galleon team of JOE,KEVIN AND ALI quickly claimed the win and ultimately the points/match.

The doubles next which we managed to win 2-1 and give us the 8-2 victory.

Another solid performance from us only losing 5 legs all match.

Thanks to the jarvies boys for a good night as usual and we'll see you guys again on 27th July.

Next up for us is our final league game of season a trip to duntocher to face the dunti.
