The Drum earned a hard fought 3 points today over in Rothesay. With both sides looking to take control it took until the 35th minute for the Drum to get the opening goal when a powerful shot from Aaron came off the post and fell nicely to the feet of Gal who calmly slotted into the net. Minutes after the Drum had taken the lead the visitors were awarded a free kick out on the left and George Munro stepped up and curled a brilliant free kick into the net for his 2nd free kick goal in as many games.
Second half saw Rothesay pulling an early goal back to put the Drum under some pressure but the introduction of the subs soon saw them creating chances and Martin Leck soon found himself in on goal and scoring despite the efforts of the Rothesay defender. With 15 minutes remaining the Drum found themselves down to 10 men but managed to hold out and even creating a few good chances to finish the match 3-1.
A entertaining match with both teams playing some good football.
Thanks to Rothesay Brandane as always for the usual great Hospitality shown after the game.👏

The Drum got off to great start tonight when Jamie Ross scored in the opening minutes. Despite creating further chances it took until just before half time for the Drum to add a second when Aaron Graham scored a well worked goal to take the score to 2-0 in the Drums favour.
Second half saw the hosts pulling a goal back within minutes of the restart which seemed to rattle the Drum and found themselves under some unwanted pressure. With both teams now looking for the important next goal it was the Drum that found themselves with a free-kick just outside the box and substitute George Munro stepped up to fire in a powerful shot past the opposition keeper to make the score 3-1 giving the Drum a much needed victory.

The Drum suffered a huge blow to their hopes of getting their season back on track this afternoon. Once again they found themselves a goal behind early on before going further behind after 20 minutes. On the half hour mark Jamie Ross hit a well placed shot low to the keepers right hand side to get the Drum back in the game only for Giffnock to be awarded a penalty which was well saved only for the ref to order a retake which was converted to make it 3-1 at the break.
Second half saw the Drum determined to get something from the game and they soon got their second when Arron Graham hit a corner which evaded everyone to hit the post and go into the goal. Despite creating further chances it was the hosts who got the next goal with 10 minutes to go to make it 4-2 before hitting a 5th in the dying minutes.
Unlucky lads.
