BACK TO BACK WINS FOR THE CHANNOS 🟡⚫️🟡

Last week the boys came from behind twice to beat a good Steins team we know all to well. Gaffer had to go in goals and causing carnage cos he doesn’t know the pass back rule. Grant Cathro doing what he does scoring a hattrick with one leg. Also donzo coming off the bench with a great finish.

Today we came up against a good Barrhead side in a tight game. Could have went either way but the boys kept sticking to the game plan and it paid off with two goals in the last 5 minute to win the game. Shoutout to Jeg for a great performance at full back the fans won’t believe it but he won a header today. Also special mention to our two goalscorers Dillyn and Duncan snr both tidy finishes. Also couple of huge saves from big Ross today.

We now look forward to the Scottish cup next week with an away trip to Ayr.

🟡⚫️ LAST MAN STANDING 🟡⚫️

The club will be running a Last Man Standing competition again.

Entry is £10, with the prize pot being decided after all entry fees have been paid. The club will take half the money raised and the other half will go to the winner.

All you need to do is predict the winner of one English Premier League game from that gameweek. If your team wins then you go through to the next week. If they lose or draw, then you’re out.

You can only pick a team once. For example, if you pick Liverpool and they win then you’re through to the next week but you cannot pick them again.

The last person standing wins the prize fund.

Deadline is 5pm on Friday 21st of August

I’ve been telling old stories singing songs

mostly about Chico’s release the kraken volley today.

Channos return to pre season today agaisnt a new side in West Caledonia. Boys were honking first half and had absolutely nothing to do with the gaffer changing the shape just so he could get a game. Nathan scored the hardest chance he had all game in typical hasbulla fashion. But the guests equalised before half time with a questionable offside call.

After half time the boys obviously remembered it was a ball and not a bomb we were playing with and started to knock it about.

Chico scored goal of the day with a volley from the edge of the box from a corner which can only be described as a thunderbastard.

Stu scored a cross which he is adamant is a shot.

Ryan Duncan scored a rasper hitting the bar and post before going in.

Ewan also juggled the ball into the back of the net on his debut.

Own goal came from an attacking set piece which Connor won first contact but the boys have all reiterated it defo wasn’t him that scored.

And then our wee striker from Dagestan does what he does best and stat pads again with another hatrick.

MOTM - Chico

Very harsh on Nathan with a hatty and also another great game from Stu but Charlie was unreal all game and rounded it off with the goal of the day.

Confirmed the Channos will be competing in division 1 for the season ahead after a second place finish and promotion last year. Season starts August 9th 🟡⚫️
