It was the Fletcher Final followed out by the Lady Captain v Lady Secretary Team Challenge today.
In the Final was Ann Greenall and Ann Teale, a good game played in good spirit with the eventual winner being Ann Teale 🏆 Well done Ann T, commiserations Ann G.
After a very close contest and everyone waiting for the last game to come in until we had a result - Lady Secretary’s Team won - congratulations 👏
Well done to everyone who played today 😊

Preston Charity Day at Longridge today played in tough conditions with the first groups getting wet and blown about a bit!!
Conditions better late morning but the course was wet.
The course was in good condition, very organised and everyone at Longridge made us feel welcome.
Congratulations to Longridge on winning the Topping Trophy (total team of 12 scores) and the Livesey Trophy for the best 4 team scores.
Congratulations to Julie Shorrock from Longridge for winning best nett with a fantastic 69.
Big congratulations to our very own Ann Greenall for best gross of 82 👏👏👏 well played.
Chorley did come 2nd in both the Team competitions so well done ladies, great effort in tough conditions.

What a great turn out for the Mixed 4BBB & Margaret Howarth Trophy yesterday.
We all still miss Margaret very much and have great memories of her. So good to see David and the family at the club yesterday to present the prizes.
We had 4 2’s on the day 👏
3rd place David Myers & Janet V Riley 40pts
2nd place Phil Kellie & Janet Riley 43pts
1st place and the Trophy David Riley & Cheryl Acton 44pts 🏆 👏
Seems you just needed a ‘Riley’ in your team to win!!! 🤣
Well done to all the winners and lovely to see so many people playing ⛳️😊

A great day for the Hooley Final between Steph Patterson and Jane Godwin. A well fought game but unfortunately there can only be one winner, which today was Jane 👏 🏆
Commiserations to Steph but well played.
We all followed the finalists out in Lady Captain’s Charity Team Competition, the theme colour this year being purple for Karen’s charity, supporting Pancreatic Cancer.
Some great outfits and a selection of photos below.
Well done to the winners - Janet Cartledge, Ann Greenall and Ann Teale with 81pts.
Hope everyone spent their purchased Mulligan and Bunker shot????
A big thank you to Jane as well for providing some cakes before we set off to give us a boost 🍰 😊

Presentation Night at the golf club tonight followed by an update by Dan Wright on work to be carried out on the course over Winter and any other important work taking place going forward.
To finish the evening off our very own President, John Gorton and his glamorous assistant Lorraine Stoneman did a quiz and Play your Cards Right but unfortunately the cards weren’t very kind to us!
Thanks to Danny, John and Lorraine for an informative and fun evening 👏
Well done to all the winners and to Lady Captain, Karen and Janet our Competition Secretary for the presentation. 🥇 🥈 🥉 🏆
We also had a lovely sunset to finish the day off 🌅

What a great day for our Ladies Invitation Day today. The first groups did get a little wet on the first 3-holes but the sun soon came out for the rest of the day.
22 Teams battled it out but the winners on the day were -
NTP - Jacqui Relph
NTL - Karon Unsworth
3rd Place - Diane Pilling & Sheila Davies 41pts
2nd Place - Alison Brocklebank & Karon Unsworth 42pts
1st Place - Jean Ralph & Judith Calvert 43pts
Well done to all the winners and thanks to all the ladies who played today, hopefully see you all again next year 😊
A big thank you to Mark and his team for our lovely food, Lee and his team for keeping us refreshed, Tony and his team as the course was in excellent condition and to Janet Cartledge for organising the day and finalising the competition 👏👏

Congratulations to Shaw Hill for winning the Mayor’s Cup - again! 🏆
Commiserations to the ladies who represented Chorley playing over the weekend but well played 👏👏
Well done to Lorraine Stoneman and Jane Godwin for being 1st and 2nd yesterday.
Well done Kate Hilton and Diane Hill for 1st and 2nd over the 2 days.
Well done Jennifer Lea for having a 2 as well 👏
We’ll be back next year to try again and bring the trophy back to Chorley 🏆

What a great day for our Ladies Exchange Day at Grange Park. From the moment we arrived on the car park to the minute we left we were looked after by everyone there.
Enjoyed our 18-holes of golf and then the cold drinks on the patio were more than welcome after such a hot afternoon ☀️
We then enjoyed a delicious meal, which we were all ready for!
Thanks to everyone at Grange Park for making us so welcome 🤗

NTL - Anne Higham
NTP - Anne Higham
2nd Place - Ann Greenall, Christine Bradley and Susan Macdonald - 76pts
1st Place - Anne Higham, Wendy Ascroft and Lorraine Stoneman- 83pts

What a great turn out for our Lady Vice Captain’s Day.
Some excellent scores in and good golf played.
The winner of the 9-Hole Competition was one of our new ladies, Jayne Gouldthorpe with 20pts.
Nearest the Pin in 2 on the 10th Hole - Ann Greenall
Lady Vice Captain’s results -
3rd Place - Stephanie Patterson - Nett 70
2nd Place - Linda Smith - Nett 69
1st Place - Rebecca Ellwood - Nett 69
Rebecca also won the Nearest the Pin on the 18th but unfortunately she had to leave before the presentation.
Well done to all the winners and a big thank you to Lady Vice Captain, Ruth, for providing us with tea and cream scones after and all the prizes.
Thanks to Janet for finalising the results, Mark and his team for serving our tea and scones and Lee and his team for refreshments from the bar 👏👏

A great day for our Ladies Open yesterday.
Lots of ladies return each year as they love our course and we receive great feedback every year on the excellent condition the course is in and the warm welcome they receive from everyone on the day.
Again our ladies served homemade cakes at the halfway house, which was also well received.
Thanks to all the ladies who help on the day to make the day such a success, it is very much appreciated 😊⛳️🥂
