Summer's gone; holidays are over; injuries are fixed. This week I've had the pleasure of seeing two of my favourite returning faces - Zachy and Ellen.
Fresh off the back of a killer 3 weeks in Whistler, Zachy is full of confidence and pushing on nicely.

It's great to see Ellen back on a bike after a nasty injury at the start of the summer. She'll be back up to pace in no time.

Huge healing vibes go out to Ellen Flewitt and Mason - two People I have enjoyed working with greatly, who have both given themselves some new war wounds.
Ellen unfortunately dislocated her shoulder whilst warming up before our session yesterday afternoon.
She's been getting quicker and quicker every week, and is gutted to be missing the National Champs next weekend. She'll be back in no time, and is strong enough to put it behind her.

Mason unfortunately had a whoopsie during practice for this weekend's Megavalanche; breaking his leg and gaining some new Mechano for his troubles.
Once again, I wish him the speediest of recoveries and hope to see him out and about soon.

Before the rain, there was sunshine.
Ellen Flewitt and I made the most of it, and took her new Saracen Bikes Myst out for a spin at Rogate Downhill. It 's obviously working for her, and her hard work is paying off.

MTB is an all-weather sport; which is a good job, as Juzzy and I had all of the weather during last night's session!
Here you can see just how far he has come in two sessions - the first clip is from our first session (and his first time at Rogate Downhill) and the others are from yesterday.
Speed, technique and confidence have increased immensely, and it really shows.

It's been a busy couple of weeks, working with some old faces and good friends.
BDS and Megavalanche prep and confidence boosting have been the tasks at hand, and everyone has ridden it out like a boss!
Best of luck to Ellen at her first British Downhill Series race this weekend, and to Mason for the Megavalanche in July!

It's 'go' day for the QECP Mountain Bike Trail Building Day and Night Enduro, so here's a little video of Rocksteady supported athlete Ellen and I sessioning some the stages on Thursday night.
The trails were running Primo, and the event should be a banger!
