Gracie’s Memorial Netball Tournament 💗🏐

We’re absolutely overwhelmed yet again by the incredible level of love, support and generosity shown by our amazing Netball family at our annual tournament in memory of our beautiful angel, Gracie. 💗

Today, 13 Netball teams, made up of ladies of all ages and abilities, came together at Springwell Community School to play 12 matches each across three outdoor courts.

What a day it was! ☀️🏐 We watched some brilliant, competitive but fun Netball, with plenty of smiles, laughter, dancing and singing along to our favourite party playlist in the sunshine. It was exactly the kind of day we know Gracie would have loved. 💕

A huge congratulations to our Calow girls for taking home the 🏆, with Queens finishing runners-up after an incredibly tight contest. Well done to everyone who took part!

🌟 Star of the Day goes to Izzie Bridge from our little Panthers team. Absolutely brilliant, Izzie! 👏🏐⭐

And, as always, Gracie was with us today. We’re sure she would be so proud of everything we are doing in her memory. 💗

Our aim is to continue raising awareness of Sepsis, making sure people know the signs and symptoms, and most importantly, know to ACT FAST. We will keep doing everything we can to help prevent other families experiencing the heartbreak of losing a child to Sepsis.

A massive thank you to everyone who helped organise and run the tournament and made sure the day went so smoothly — especially our amazing umpires, timers and score-table volunteers. We honestly couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

A very special thank you to our Alice, who did an absolutely fantastic job baking and running the cake stall! 🎂💗 And thank you to all our other wonderful bakers and contributors who added to the amazing selection — and to all the netballers, families and supporters who bought cakes and treats. Your support means more than you know. 🧁❤️

Thank you to every single person who came along, played, volunteered, donated, baked, cheered, danced, sang and helped make today so special.

Today at Gracie’s tournament at Springwell School, we’re raising awareness for sepsis in memory of Michelle’s beautiful daughter, who we sadly lost in 2015 at just 4 years old. ❤️

It’s been 11 years, and this cause is still incredibly important. Too many children and families continue to be affected by sepsis, and there is still so much more that needs to be done when it comes to awareness, recognition and training.

Awareness and knowledge are power.
Know the signs and symptoms.
Listen to your instincts.
If something doesn’t feel right, speak up and keep asking questions. ❤️

We will continue to raise awareness in Michelle’s daughter’s memory and do everything we can to help prevent other families experiencing such an unimaginable loss.
