❤️🖤 ONE YEAR OF NEXTGEN GYM & FITNESS 🖤❤️
ONE YEAR of NextGen Gym & Fitness Limited.
And honestly… I don't think I can put into words just how much this past year has meant to me.
The gym itself, formerly known as Spirebarbell, has been part of this community for nearly 100 years.
Two years ago, I made the biggest financial decision of my life.
I took a huge leap of faith, purchased the Wellington Hotel and started what would become a 12-month journey of renovation, hard work, stress, excitement and plenty of sleepless nights.
Then, one year ago today, we finally opened the doors as NextGen Gym & Fitness.
If I'm completely honest, I never dreamed for one second that it would become what it is today.
But what a year it has been.
More successful than I ever imagined.
More members.
More equipment.
More growth.
And most importantly… an incredible community.
But today isn't really about me.
It's about YOU.
Every single member who has walked through those doors.
Those who joined us on day one.
Those who joined us yesterday.
Those who train every single day.
Those who have brought their friends and family.
Those who have recommended us to others.
Those who have shared our posts.
Those who have supported us when things weren't easy.
And those who have simply walked through the doors, put their headphones on and got to work.
YOU are NextGen Gym.
Without every single one of you, this wouldn't exist.
So from the bottom of my heart…

There is also one person who deserves a very special mention today.
My dear friend, Trevor Ravey. ❤️
Trev was the person who put me on this path.
I purchased Spirebarbell from Trev back in 2018, and over the years we had countless conversations about his dream for the gym.
He always talked about wanting to see it become bigger, better and something the community could truly be proud of.
He would always tell me that he knew I was the person in his dream.
Those words have stayed with me.
When I eventually took the next step and started this journey, I never could have imagined where it would lead.
But Trev's belief in me gave me the motivation to take that leap.
I miss him more than words can explain.
And I know, without a doubt, how proud he would be if he could see what this place has become today.
Every time I walk through those doors, I think about those conversations and the dream he had for this place.
Trev, this one's for you. ❤️
This past year has also been an incredibly emotional one for me personally.
I've had to take a little time to step back, breathe, reflect and recover from everything that's happened in my life.
But now…
I'm ready.
Ready for the next chapter.
Because if we've managed to achieve all of this in just one year, I genuinely believe we're only just getting started.
🚨 2027 IS GOING TO BE HUGE. 🚨
More growth.
More equipment.
More improvements.
More opportunities.
And some BIG things coming that I can't reveal just yet…

But before we look towards the future, I want to take one moment to look back.
From taking that huge financial gamble…
To renovating the Wellington Hotel…
To opening the doors of NextGen…
To watching this place grow into the community it is today…
I couldn't have written a better story.
And I couldn't have done it without you.
So to every member, past and present…

You've helped turn it into a community, a family and something I'm incredibly proud of.
