💚 OUR MACMILLAN DAY AT STANEDGE 💚

Because none of us walks alone.

Cancer will touch almost all of our lives in some way — through a parent, a friend, a colleague, a neighbour or perhaps ourselves.

That’s why we’re coming together at Stanedge for our Macmillan Day.

From 10am, join us for homemade cakes, coffee and conversation, with all proceeds from our bake sale going directly to Macmillan Cancer Support.

But this day is about more than raising money.

It’s about remembering those we’ve lost, supporting those facing cancer today, celebrating those who have come through the other side and simply being there for one another.

Come for a coffee. Buy a slice of cake. Make a donation. Stay for a chat.

Every cake, every coffee and every pound makes a difference.

What a fantastic day we had yesterday for Erwin’s Day for Dementia, raising funds and awareness for the Lewy Body Society.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the day and brought guests along. It was wonderful to see so many people out on the course, and we’ve captured photos of most of the groups throughout the day.

We were also delighted to have the support of Stoneacre Volvo Chesterfield, with some fantastic Volvo cars on display at the club. Their involvement, alongside the generosity of everyone who supported the day, helped make the occasion even more special.

Days like this are about far more than the golf. They are about bringing people together, remembering why we are raising the money and supporting a charity whose work means a great deal to us.

Thank you to everyone who played, donated, bought raffle tickets, placed sealed bids, brought guests or supported the day in any way. And, as always, a huge thank you to the team at Stanedge for everything that went into making the day such a success.

For those of you who kindly placed a sealed bid, the bids will be opened after the close of business on Monday. If your bid is successful, you will be contacted on Tuesday.

A rather dramatic sky over Stanedge earlier today… ⛳️

Dark, brooding clouds rolling across the course, the fairways beneath them and the wonderful 8th green standing out in the distance.

After weeks of sunshine and very little rain, the contrast across the course is quite something.

There’s something rather special about Stanedge under a sky like this — dramatic, peaceful and beautiful all at once.

And perhaps those clouds might finally bring us a little of the rain we’ve been waiting for! 🌧️

A fantastic day at Stanedge for our Peak Edge & Red Lion Major.

It was wonderful to have Peak Edge Hotel & The Red Lion Restaurant so prominently represented at the Club today, with a fantastic display in the clubhouse alongside an exceptional selection of prizes for our members.

Today saw our members take on the Bogey format, with some great golf played throughout the day.

And what a view it is.

One of the things we perhaps don’t shout about enough at Stanedge is the setting. From Tyzack’s Bar & Bistro, you can sit back and look straight out across the golf course — open countryside, mature trees, beautifully maintained greens and fairways, and a landscape that changes with every season.

It feels wonderfully peaceful and a world away from the hustle and bustle, which is probably why there’s sometimes a perception that we’re miles out of town or hidden away in the sticks.

We’re not.

We are just 8 minutes from Chesterfield town centre.

That’s part of what makes Stanedge a little different. You can leave the centre of Chesterfield and, within minutes, be sitting with a coffee, enjoying breakfast or lunch, meeting friends for a drink, or simply taking some time out with this view in front of you.
