A great win for the 1st XI yesterday in what was an entertaining game.

The u11s are on the park playing Grindleford 🏏

Given the recent weather conditions our track for tomorrows home game is looking fantastic, thanks to the hard work from our Groundsmen.

The 1st XI host Duffield on the park tomorrow and the U11s are also at home play their last Semi hard ball game Sunday morning when they play Grindleford 🏏

Dave was involved with Old Whittington CC when it was founded and playing at the bottom of Whittington Hill. He was a regular player including, for a time as Captain, through the sixties, seventies and into the eighties. He built the pavilion in 1979 and extended it two years later. His sons Simon and Steve also played or the OWCC club. Our thoughts are with them and Joyce.

David Edward Hodgson of Old Whittington has passed away on 30th June 2026.

David’s funeral will take place on Friday 17th July, 12:00noon at Chesterfield Crematorium.

Donations in lieu of flowers will benefit Ashgate Hospice.
