🚨 KEEPER OF THE WEEK! 🚨

As a goalkeeper coach, I’m always looking for different ways to keep my goalkeepers motivated, challenged and excited to improve — and that’s where Goalkeeper of the Week comes in! 👊

Every week during my goalkeeper sessions, I’ll be looking for the goalkeeper who shows the best attitude, effort, commitment, bravery, coachability and improvement. It’s not always about who makes the most saves — it’s about everything you bring to the session. 💪

It’s fantastic seeing the young keepers pushing themselves, supporting each other and competing in the right way. The aim is to create an environment where every goalkeeper wants to improve and give their absolute best every session.

It’s the little things that mean the most 🧤⚽️❤️
One of the best things about coaching young goalkeepers is seeing how much they take in, even when you don’t realise they’re watching…

Gethin came along to watch me play for Vauxhalls, and clearly he was paying close attention! 😀

He’s now started copying the way I set up my goal — bottle in one place, towel in the other… just like his coach!
It might seem like a small thing, but moments like this mean a lot to me. ❤️

Knowing that a young goalkeeper looks up to you, watches what you do and wants to replicate it is one of the biggest compliments you can get as a coach.

Hopefully one day he’ll be doing it at a much higher level than me! 👏🧤

Congratulations to Leo on getting keeper of the week! 👊🏽

Leo has had around 4-5 sessions with me, his attitude is top, he helps the other keepers and encourages when in a group.

He seems to be developing his skills as well as confidence 😃👍🏼

He gives 100% to every save, catch, movement 💯

A top young lad to work with and fully deserves his prize from myself! 🏆🧤

Shoutout to Belle and Matilda who get a joint keeper of the week last week. They have both been successful in gaining the opportunity after trialing, to play for Wrexham schoolgirls for the 26/27 season. 🏆🤯

Both Matilda and Belle have shown consistency in sessions, hard work and lots of fun. ⚽️❤️

I love success no matter how big or small! Well done girls look forward to giving you your prizes! 🏆❤️⚽️✅🧤

🚨 SUCCESS SHOUTOUTS 🚨

Here are all that I’ve been told about this weekend! It’s been another busy one! 😃

I encourage the parents/keepers to keep me updated on how they’re getting on with their clubs outside of my sessions. I love hearing the updates whether they’d be good or things to improve on! 👍🏼

Paige’s team were runners up in a tournament this weekend, saved 2 penalties in the semi final and just fell short of winning losing 1-0 in the final. 😔 Natalie Roch

It’s great to see how the keepers really look out for each other, support each other and how influential they can be!

Secondly a massive shoutout to Gethin on winning his tournament! Some penalty saves in the semi final and the final for the win! 🏆
Gethin has only been with me a very short time, however it is great to see a young Keeper with high ability, I really look forward to working with him, and seeing what he can achieve in the future.

Due to me missing the last couple of weeks, here is a double post for Keeper of the week! 🧤🧤

Rudy Holmes RC Holmes deserve this award for me last week, he has recently started training with myself and has clear ability and loves his new position. I’ve been really impressed with all aspects of his abilities. I look forward to seeing how far Rudy can go with his talents. 🧤⚽️👊🏽

Secondly and this has been coming for a while, Vinnie get the award for the week before, Vinnie has just restarted pre season with Connahs Quay Nomads and has been working consistently with me for a long time now. His personal awards at the end of the season are a product of his hard work and talent.
