On Friday 25th September, our training sessions are going to mean just that little bit more.

Cheltenham Junior Hockey Club is taking on the 'Rossholme Relay'!

Our young players are going to help collectively cover the distance to Nairobi, Kenya (more than 6,000km!) to help raise funds for two new classrooms at Rossholme School in the middle of Kiambiu, one of Nairobi's poorest informal settlements.

The school provides free education, breakfast and lunch for more than 525 children aged 2 to 12 who wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford to attend school.

Rossholme in Kenya - Free education for children in Nairobi's Kiambiu slum Rossholme in Kenya funds and runs a free primary school in the Kiambiu slum, providing education, breakfast, and lunch to 525 children.

We’re delighted to welcome Charli Roberts to the role of Head Coach at Cheltenham Junior Hockey Club, taking over from Emily Hobbs.

Charli is already very well known within CJHC, having led various age groups over the years, and brings a wealth of coaching experience to the role.

She is also the former captain of the Women’s First Team at Cheltenham Hockey Club, and we’re incredibly proud that she recently represented England and won gold at the O35 World Cup this summer! 🥇🏑

We’re thrilled to have Charli leading our junior section and look forward to seeing her experience, enthusiasm and passion for hockey continue to inspire our young players.

🏑 HOCKEY HEROES & SATURDAY SQUAD ARE BACK
Our next 8-week Hockey Heroes and Saturday Squad programmes start on Saturday 12 September for children aged 5–8 years.

Whether your child is a complete beginner ready to try Hockey Heroes, or has a little hockey experience and is ready for our Saturday Squad, it’s a great way to:

Aged 6–14 and want to give hockey a go? Cheltenham Junior Hockey Club is a friendly community club offering hockey for boys and girls of all abilities.

Whether your child is picking up a hockey stick for the first time or already loves the game, we provide a fun, supportive environment where young players can learn, develop and enjoy hockey together.
