A huge thank you to everyone who supported Martin’s Charity Golf Day last Friday, raising funds for two fantastic causes – Sue Ryder and the Injured Jockeys Fund.

We were delighted to welcome 34 teams for what proved to be a brilliant day, both on and off the golf course. The support, generosity and atmosphere throughout the day were fantastic and helped make the event such a success.

A special thank you must go to everyone who contributed their time and support, including:

• Our volunteers who helped with starting duties
• Those who covered shifts at the Halfway House
• All 34 teams who entered and supported the day
• Our extremely generous hole sponsors
• JT and the Greenstaff for not only presenting the course superbly in these challenging weather conditions but for putting out hole sponsor boards
• Paul and all of the Waypoint staff for keeping everyone fed and watered during the day
• Ed and his Pro Shop staff
• Sally for all of her hard work with the marketing and promotion of the event
• Everyone who donated raffle and auction prizes, placed bids or purchased raffle tickets
• And, of course, everyone who simply came along and supported Martin and his chosen charities

Without so many people willingly giving their time, support and generosity, the day simply could not have run as brilliantly as it did.

We are still completing the final calculations, but we are delighted to report that it looks as though the day has raised in excess of £10,000 for Sue Ryder and the Injured Jockeys Fund.

A truly brilliant effort and something everyone involved should be very proud of.
