💦 150 miles. 14 days. One incredible cause.

On Saturday 12 September, we’ll be welcoming three very special swimmers to Cheltenham Lido as part of an extraordinary journey from London to Cardiff.

Meet The Splash Dragons - Karen Davies, Fiona Coombs and Taniya Morris - three passionate outdoor swimmers taking on a 150-mile swimming challenge between 2–15 September, visiting lidos and open-water venues across England and Wales along the way.

And Cheltenham Lido is proud to be one of their stops 💙

Their goal? To raise more than £11,000 for Velindre Cancer Centre Wales, supporting specialist cancer treatment, care and groundbreaking research for patients and their families.

Their journey begins at Parliament Hill Lido following a visit to the Houses of Parliament, before taking them across the country and eventually to the finish line at Llanishen Reservoir in Cardiff.

The Cheltenham Triathlon returns on Sunday 13th of September, and we’re looking for a brilliant team of volunteers to help us bring the day to life!

It might be an early start, but we can promise plenty of atmosphere, community spirit and that unmistakable race-day buzz.

There are lots of different ways to get involved, including:
🏊🏼 Lane counting
👋🏼 Welcoming & checking in competitors
☕ Helping with hot drinks
👏🏼 Supporting participants around the event
➕ Plus plenty of other roles to suit you!

As a little thank you, all volunteers will also receive 10% off hot drinks at Emma and Mike cafe throughout their shift ☕

Food and drinks will also be available to purchase, and remember - all films are enjoyed through wireless headphones, making for a truly immersive experience.

☀️ Entry opens 30 minutes before each screening.
🌦️ Screenings go ahead in all but the most severe weather conditions.
