Plantation of trees at all stages including some dead young sets and a tree with honey fungus disease. Young dead ones are replaced for two years after that we find an alternative site on the same land. The Honey fungus tree will be cleared and not replanted as that disease remains in the soil.

We can show you videos and photos of lovely narrow grain pure white top grade clefts every day as our competitors do. The reality is very different which is why we post details of wider grains, faults and knots and butterfly stain. English willow trees only produce 1% clefts with very narrow grains like this. Yes they look pretty and they may play better straight away but there is no guarantee they will last as the tree is older they are much more susceptible to wind damage. Wider grain will play just as well given a bit more knocking in and any knots and faults will not affect the ping only the appearance.
