A special shout out to our team racers who gave their all today. All three teams skied their way through to the knock out stages with our minis making it to the final with a fabulous silver podium position at the Snowsport England 2026 U10/U12 Inter Club Parallel Slalom Championships. Big step forward for alpine skiing in England 🌟

We're delighted to share that the Snowsport England Board has formally signed off the launch of a new Alpine Talent Pathway.

This will be the first dedicated Alpine Talent Pathway in many years, helping to fill a gap that has long been recognised across our community and creating a clearer route for athletes to progress and thrive.

There are still some important details to finalise as we conclude the consultation period, and we'll continue to keep the community updated as plans develop.

What's next? Recruitment for our National Squad Head Coaches will begin imminently.

Snowsport England official statement:

We unreservedly welcome the record investment of over £33 million by UK Sport to support the UK's Olympic and Paralympic winter sport athletes: it is undoubtedly a significant vote of confidence in the athletes and their coaches following a record equalling result at Milan Cortina.

For snowsports, a ringfenced amount of £12.5 million is an overwhelming endorsement of the future potential of our athletes as they prepare for Alpes 2030. However, we know that the impact of this investment goes further than Elite sport and that it inspires the next generation: following Milan Cortina we saw a positive increase in the number of affiliated clubs, registered competitors across disciplines and Snowsport England coaches / instructors.

Despite requests, it is not appropriate for us to comment publicly on the widely reported concerns raised by UK Sport around the governance of GB Snowsports or on the UK Sport Board decision not to route the investment through GB Snowsports once funding for the Milan Cortina cycle ends.

Our focus remains on our athlete development pathway, governance, compliance and safeguarding and on continuing the steady growth in participation in the sports we love. As Snowsport England, we represent approximately 75% of facilities, clubs and athletes within the UK and we will remain focussed on improving and relaunching several of our Snowsport England talent pathways, creating more opportunities from grassroots to gold and ensuring the pipeline of talent to elite snowsports is as strong as possible.

The ongoing support from Sport England and this renewed funding commitment by UK Sport provides great confidence and certainty for the future. We are entirely committed to working with all parties to ensure the new delivery model referenced by UK Sport successfully serves our athletes and sport.

2026 Club National Series
Super pleased to share the Club has finished the series in 🥈position, a fabulous achievement. As a Club we’ve had members participating in all 15 of the dry slope Club National races this season. The Club points allocation is a huge team effort with 14 members contributing to the overall total.

Aimee, Ben, Robyn, Ryan and Tallulah headed to Stoke for the 2026 British Champs. Some great skiing from the team, but it’s 8 yr old Tallulah who skied the fastest in the the U10s category and is the newly crowned British Dry Slope Champion. 🏆🥇🇬🇧🎿⛷️Well done xx

It was Gold medals all round for our junior racers today. Fantastic skiing from Kiki, Tallulah, Ethan and Alicia - 🥇U8s, 🥇U10s, 🥇U12s and 🥇U14s. FABULOUS!!!!

Nick continued his podium run in the Masters category taking the silver today, well done Nick.

Day 2 of the double weekend of racing. Off the slope England had won 2-0 to Panama the previous evening in their quest to make it through the World Cup group stage. The atmosphere was full of promise and joy and temperatures not as warm as predicted.
LSERSA’s regional coach Andy A set the course and a thrilling race was on. Superb skiing from all the Chatham racers today, some super close times from Runs 1&2, it was all to play for in the third run. Well done all. We’re super proud!!!
