Surrey National Golf Club is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the village of Chaldon, near Caterham. Since opening in April 1999 the golf course has gone from strength to strength earning a fine reputation as one of the best all year round courses within the M25. Only a year after opening Time Magazine nominated the course as their "Find of the Year" and urged readers to "Play it Now!”. The golf course, designed by David Williams, meanders through dramatic rolling countryside populated by thousands of mature trees which further enhance the appeal of the setting. The topography of the course is extremely interesting with two valleys merging at the northern end offering wonderful views over Farthing Downs. The magnificent clubhouse sits perched above the 18th green with grandstand views over the lake, fountains and beyond. Two large air-conditioned function suites on the upper floor have fantastic views over the course and these have become popular Surrey wedding venues – we are licensed to hold civil ceremonies as well as receptions. Our events coordinators can also help to organise engagement and birthday parties, dinner dances and a host of other events. We offer in-house catering but are also happy to welcome external suppliers.

Since opening in 1999, Surrey National Golf Club has established itself as one of Surrey’s distinctive golfing destinations.

Designed by renowned golf course architect David Williams, the Championship course winds its way through more than 200 acres of dramatic rolling countryside, with thousands of mature trees helping shape its character. 🌳

Approaching 7,000 yards from the Championship tees, the course makes clever use of its natural landscape, with raised tees, tree-lined fairways, strategically positioned bunkers and two lakes creating a memorable test for golfers of all abilities. ⛳

More than 25 years after opening, Surrey National continues to welcome members, visitors, societies and golf days to experience the course and its spectacular setting.
