Whether you're an experienced player, completely new to hockey, or haven't played since school, we'd love to see you!

✅ No upper age limit!

How do we know there's no age limit? Well, Doc and Iris are still flying around the pitch every Saturday! We're not saying they're in their 60s... but we are saying they remember when the "D" was just called "over there." 🤭 Don't worry, we promised not to reveal their ages!

🏑 That's a wrap on our summer casual hockey sessions!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along over the last few weeks. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces back on the pitch, and even better to welcome some new ones into the club.
We hope you all had as much fun as we did!

We'll be taking a short break before pre-season gets underway in August, and we can't wait to see you all back, ready for another great season. We're also on the lookout for new players! If you're 15+ and fancy playing club hockey next season, keep an eye on our social media channels for details of our first training session back. Whether you're an experienced player or looking to get back into hockey, we'd love to have you join us.

And finally... we're searching for a coach! If you've ever fancied taking charge of a brilliant (and occasionally slightly chaotic!) group of hockey-loving ladies, we'd love to hear from you. We can't promise we'll always behave... but we can promise plenty of laughs, lots of commitment, and a warm welcome!

Everyone at Derg Valley Hockey Club is deeply saddened by the passing of our former player, Lyndsey Rankin.

Lyndsey will be remembered as a truly beautiful person, both inside and out, and as a friend to so many within our club.

We extend our deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to Lyndsey's mother, father, brothers, and the entire Rankin family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you come to terms with this unimaginable loss.

Lyndsey will always hold a special place in the hearts of everyone at Derg Valley Hockey Club. May she rest in peace.

🏑 CLUB AGM REMINDER🏑

Our Annual General Meeting will take place on Monday 1st June at 8:30pm in Castlederg High School.

All members are encouraged to attend as we look back on the season and discuss plans for the year ahead.

A couple of well deserved club shoutouts from recent weeks 👏🏃‍♀️

Firstly, congratulations to Anna on completing the Belfast Marathon while fundraising for Brain Waves NI 💙

Brain Waves NI provide fantastic support to people living with acquired brain injuries, as well as their families and carers, offering services that help rebuild confidence, independence and connection within the community. It’s a cause very close to Anna’s heart, and we’re so proud of her for taking on such an incredible challenge in support of the amazing work they do.

Another massive well done to our goalkeeper Hannah on completing the Omagh Half Marathon 👏🏃‍♀️
All that running might have her ready for a move out of the nets and into midfield soon 😂 Brilliant achievement and great to see all the training paying off!

We also want to celebrate Doc for completing the Strabane & Lifford Half Marathon 🙌

At 61, she continues to lead from the front and proves age is just a number. The rest of us “waines” are struggling to keep up 😂💪 Your dedication and determination are an inspiration to everyone around you.

Well done ladies, we’re very proud of you both ❤️

Whether you’ve never picked up a stick before or just want a relaxed hit about, this is the perfect chance to get involved. It’s all about a light, fun introduction to the game, no pressure, just enjoyment!
