A superb turn-out for the Auchencairn Volunteer Celebration event on Saturday. A convivial time was had by all, aided and abetted by plenty of scones and cake! The event was a testament to what a vibrant community we have, thanks to all the volunteers and volunteer-based organisations that bring their time, energy and commitment to supporting key services and activities in the village. Auchencairn would not be the special place it is without you! A big thank-you to Auchencairn Community Store for ably supplying to the catering. Special thanks to ACT volunteers Lee and Hala for helping with so much of the co-ordination of the event. And thank-you to volunteer Hazel, who helped us at the event with serving drinks and with all the washing up!

A feast for the eyes at the Auchencairn Community Allotment. Well done to Jen and the volunteers for nurturing the veggies and the wildlife in such a harmonious and productive balance. Showcased here are yellow courgettes, Rapunzel cherry tomatoes, water melons and the evocatively named 'Cherokee Trail of Tears' beans.
