🏵️🔥On Sunday 23rd August we had a brilliant day at our end of summer dressage show.

It was great to see so many new first timers and also seasoned competitors moving up to new levels.

Thanks again to Steven Chambers electrical for sponsoring the show, the prizes were great. Thank you to Coreen Abernethy for judging and giving great feedback back at all the levels and thanks to all the super volunteers on the day. Great fun for all, super atmosphere and such fun to even have cheering and clapping spectators…roll on the next one 🏵️❤️🐴

As we mark the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Week, this year’s theme, Action, reminds us that even the smallest steps can make a real difference 🌱

Farming life brings its own unique pressures, long hours, isolation, financial uncertainty and the constant demands of the land and livestock. It can be tough to pause but taking action for your mental health is just as important as looking after your farm.

This week, we’re encouraging our farming community to:

🚜 Take action for yourself – Check in with how you’re really feeling. Make time for a break, a chat, or something that helps clear your head.
🤝 Take action for others – Reach out to a neighbour, a friend, or a family member. A simple “How are you?” can go a long way.
🌾 Take action for your community – Together, we can break the stigma around mental health in farming and create a culture where it’s okay to talk.

You are not alone and support is always here. If you need to talk, Rural Support is just a call away on its confidential support line 0800 138 1678 (freephone).

Let’s take action—one conversation, one step, one day at a time.
