The Rome Street Dojo in Carlisle is dedicated to the study of Motoha Yoshin Ryu JuJutsu, a traditional martial art under Soke Yasumoto Akiyoshi.
Motoha Yoshin Ryu Jujutsu is based around the core principles of correct structure and controlling the mass of the attacker. These principles are introduced through kata at a basic, beginner level, then developed as you progress, allowing you to improve at your own rate. Our junior sessions run during term time on a Tuesday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, our adult sessions run on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings nearly all year round, from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
Our classes start back on Tuesday January 13th.
Juniors 6yrs+ 6-7pm
Adults/13yrs+ 7-9pm
First 4 beginner sessions free, then £4/session for U18s and concessions, or £6/session for 18+

A reminder that the junior session is NOT running this week, with it being half-term.

It might be warm, but tough - training is on as usual for our 7-9pm session tonight (12th August 2025).

Don't forget, sessions are currently at B5 Martial Arts on English Gate Plaza - take the turn off Botchergate where Masala Bazaar is, and it's the carpark on the left.
Disc Zone parking is free after 6, the carpark outside B5 is NOT free.
