Hi everyone, what a crazy few weeks we had since moving to Greenlands Equestrian Centre . Here a quick or not so quick summary of the last 6 weeks :
- Our HAF project has been a great success again and is finishing on Monday until we do it all again in December.
- The camp at the beginning of the holiday was super busy and we had lots of fun. Let me know if anyone is interested for October , apparently the kids want a Halloween Sleepover to be part of it 😱😱😱
- our first competition was soooo much fun, lovely to see some of the kids, who only started a few weeks ago doing so well
- The vaulting has kicked off too and I love having new members, nothing better too boost confidence and the team spirit is always amazing .
- Tiny tots session have been one of my highlights, so lovely to see the little ones enjoying some pony time
- Lots of new faces young and old , love meeting all our new clients, we are so lucky to have such a nice community here at Lads Lodge

Last Ponyday before holidays are over :

Hi guys , we want to start our new vaulting group from the 6th September , it will be running from 2:30 to 4pm , please put your names down asap , there are only 8 spaces per group , but we will probably start 2 new groups
Once you are accepted, you need to register your child with British Equestrian Vaulting , you can print a form out from the website , fill it in , make a picture and email it back to them. The costs are £40 for the year (starting from the day of joining) you will have to make a note , so you can renew on time . Payment for that is to BEV (details on website)
The children need vaulting shoes .
Kramer Equestrian is good, but Amazon has them too.

At Lads Lodge Riding Centre, near Carlisle, we are introducing something rather special — equestrian vaulting for children and young people with additional needs.

Vaulting is gymnastics and movement performed on a specially trained horse, combining:

💪 Strength, body awareness and control
❤️ Friendship, fun and a real sense of accomplishment

Our sessions are designed to be small, supportive and individual, allowing each young person to progress at their own pace in a calm and encouraging environment.

No previous riding or gymnastics experience is necessary.

This is not simply a riding lesson.

It is an opportunity to learn something extraordinary, develop new skills and discover what you can achieve.

The picture below shows my son Phillip , who has general delays, learning difficulties , dyspraxia and speech and language difficulties . He is reigning English Para Champion and is a 2x British Vaulting Para Champion . The vaulting has taught him confidence , self worth , communication skills and it has given him friendship and acceptance,

This horse ..,.what can I say. He has worked so hard the last few weeks. Extra vaulting sessions with beginners, riding lessons and only a handful of schooling over the last 3 months and then he goes and pulls a fab test out of the hat , winning novice with 75.6 % , 9 for his walk and 8.5 for his counter canter . He is such a sweet horse….when he isn’t eating 🤣🤣
