Absolutely gutted to just learn of the tragic passing of Abz.
One of the good guys, I first met Abz at a night we ran in Sheffield in 2000/2001. He loved his dance music and was an ever regular on the scene back then. You'd find him first on the dancefoor and last to leave in Gatecrasher, Insomniacz and the likes.
He was memorable as he used to cycle from Manchester to Sheffield every week for his party fix and usually wore scary contact lenses.
Not sure how it happened but we then met again when he just turned up in Spirit bar in 2008/9. He ended up working on the bar for us for a while including at a few of the LF nights.
A generous, kind and fun loving soul, who loved life and liked anyone and everyone has been taken far too early. He will be sorely missed.
My deepest sympathies to his wife and kids.
