Becks has been part of Team BMPT since January 2025, and one thing that has impressed us from the start is her willingness to learn.

She asks questions, takes feedback on board and, most importantly, trusts the process.

That trust has been particularly important when a few niggles have popped up along the way. Rather than seeing them as a reason to stop, Becks has trusted us to adapt her training, work around what’s needed and keep moving forward. This approach has allowed her to continue training and even keep her Hyrox sessions in!

Training won’t always go perfectly. Sometimes the plan needs to change. The important thing is finding a way to keep showing up, keep learning and keep improving.

Becks has done exactly that.

A very well-deserved Member of the Week

Jo never saw herself as a gym person. The idea of walking into one used to make her nervous — not knowing what to do, feeling out of place, wondering if it was even for her.

Since joining BMPT, all of that has gone. The coaches made her feel welcome from day one, the sessions were built around her, and nobody expected her to have it all figured out before she started.

She didn't just get used to training. She loves it. Her own words.

That's what the right environment does. It takes someone who was sure the gym wasn't for them and turns it into the part of the week they look forward to most.

If you've been putting it off because you don't feel like a gym person, Jo felt the same way. Send us a message — we'd love to have a conversation with you.

That's the personal best bell.

When a member hits a milestone, a heavier lift, a movement they couldn't do before, something they've been working towards — they ring it. And the whole room hears it.

It's never about being the strongest person in the building. It's about being a bit stronger than you were last month. One extra rep, smoother movement or less aches getting out of bed in the morning.

Those small wins add up quietly, and then one day you realise how far you've come.

"Working within your limits is not failure."

There's an idea that keeps people away from training: that if you can't do exercise perfectly, or lift what the person next to you is lifting, you're somehow falling behind.

That's not how good coaching works. At BMPT, every session is adapted to where you are right now. A dodgy knee, a stiff shoulder, a week where you're running on empty- your coach sees it and adjusts. You still train and make progress; you do it in a way that respects your body instead of punishing it.

The smartest thing you can do is start where you actually are, not where you think you should be.

If that sounds like the kind of place you've been looking for, we'd love to have a conversation.

Nicky has been at BMPT for 2 years and is approaching 3.

In that time, she's had major knee surgery, the kind that makes you wonder whether training is still something you can do. Whether it's worth going back and if your body will cope.

She came back. Not because anyone pushed her to, but because she trusted that we'd look after her. That we'd adapt her sessions, work around the recovery, and never ask her to do more than her body was ready for.

That's what coaching should be. Not a programme you follow blindly, but a plan that moves with you, through the good weeks and the harder ones, but also something that can be scaled back or adjusted.

Two years and a knee surgery later, she's still here. Still getting stronger and still trusting the process.

If you've been putting off training because of an injury, surgery, or something you're not sure we can work around, send us a message. It's worth a conversation.

Tracking your progress is an important part of your journey at BMPT.

Every 12 weeks, once you’ve completed a programme, we’ll record your progress. It’s an opportunity to see how far you’ve come, recognise what’s improved and set a new benchmark for what comes next.

Progress looks different for everyone — because everyone’s journey is different.

What matters is what’s relevant to you. The things you wanted to improve. The changes you’ve noticed. And whether you’re becoming stronger, fitter and more capable along the way.

Your progress. Your benchmark. Your next step.

Emma has been part of Team BMPT since 2018 and has become a big part of the community.

She consistently trains 3–4 times per week, gets involved with our social events, and brings a positive attitude to her sessions.

Recently we've seen a shift in Emma's training; she's prioritising her main lifts and wants to improve each and every session.
Her rack pull is a great example. It’s something we’ve had to work through and problem-solve over time, but recently things have started to really click, and we’re seeing some really positive improvements and progression!

Rather than trying to force progress or getting frustrated with things that have previously been difficult, Emma has been willing to listen, make adjustments and stick with what we’re working on.

Well deserved, Emma 👏

Different ages. Different starting points. Different reasons for being here. But they're all building the kind of strength that pays off ten and twenty years from now

That's what future-proofing looks like. Not extreme or complicated. Just consistent, coached training that's adapted to you.

Progress doesn't always look like a heavier weight on the bar or a number on a screen.

Sometimes it's walking upstairs without holding the rail. Picking up a grandchild without thinking twice. Getting through a session you'd have found impossible three months ago.

At BMPT, nobody is comparing. The person next to you is working on their own thing, at their own pace, and they're genuinely pleased when you show up.

That's what a good training environment does. It makes the quiet wins feel just as important as the loud ones.

If that sounds like somewhere you'd feel comfortable, you're welcome to come in and have a look around.

Most people don't leave gyms because the equipment was wrong or the price went up.

They leave because nobody noticed they were there. And nobody noticed when they stopped coming.

At BMPT, your coaches know your name. They know your week's been tough. They know which shoulder needs watching. They know when you've not been in for a few days, and they'll check in. It's a small thing that changes everything.

Feeling like you belong somewhere can be the difference between giving up and quietly getting stronger.

If you've been thinking about finding somewhere that actually feels like it's for you, send us a message. We're happy to have a conversation.
