Cyclists ride miles in Mike’s memory THEY did it for Mike - cycling his final journey on the first anniversary of his death.

Maybe a couple of changes to the route, due to the path being closed at Hardwicke Circus, also debris on the river path at Rockcliffe. I will confirm the route in the morning 😊

Join us 29th March, 9am for 9.15am start. Departing from Wetheral Community Hall, you’re welcome to join in along any part of the route, depending on how many miles you would like to do. The route will take us towards Scotby, Botcherby, Melbourne Park, Warwick Rd, The Strand, Sands Centre, Hardwicke Circus, Etterby, Cargo, Rockliffe, Justicetown, longtown.
A warm welcome awaits at The Sycamore Tree, lite bite, refreshments or treat yourself to a Scone (highly recommended) 😋
for any mechanical requirements, spare parts, BikeSeven will be happy to help.
For those wanting to complete the return journey or join us along the way, we will be cycling the same route back to Wetheral.
The Posting Pot will be open until 3.30pm, for anyone wanting to call in 🧁 ☕️

A memorial ride for Mike Seminara on the Friday 29th March starting at 9am from Wetheral Community Hall, encompassing a “there and back” route to Longtown
This was one of Mikes regular trips, and the route of his last bike ride on the 29th March 2018 when he tragically died in a collision with a HGV.

It will be a time for fellow cyclists, friends to pay their respects to Mike and his family to complete his journey and to raise awareness to other road users to “think bike” when travelling on their journeys.

The route is a 36 mile round trip starting from Wetheral CommunityHall at 9am for 9.15am depart, the route travels through *Scotby, Botcherby, Melbourne Park, Warwick road, the Strand, Cargo, Rockcliffe, Justicetown before arriving at Longtown. * There is an option to stop and have Coffee and Cake before heading back to Wetheral.
