📢 SERVICE UPDATE

We’re delighted to announce that internal improvement works will begin during the week commencing 24 August. 🛠️

The works will address longstanding water damage and include:
🔹 Replacement ceiling tiles
🔹 New lighting
🔹 Associated electrical works

These improvements follow the successful installation of our new roof and solar panels, helping to secure the Centre’s long-term future, improve sustainability and provide a better environment for our customers and colleagues. 🌱

The works are expected to take approximately four weeks. We’ll do everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum while continuing to operate the Centre and its facilities as fully as possible.

Sesiwn Diogelwch Dŵr yn y Tyllgoed

Heddiw, cymerodd plant Ysgol Gynradd Radur ran mewn sesiwn ddiogelwch dŵr cyffrous ac addysgiadol a gyflwynwyd gan y tîm Nofio a'r Frigâd Dân.

Roedd y sesiwn yn cynnwys arddangosiadau a gweithgareddau ymarferol gan ddefnyddio sled achub ac rhaffau taflu, gan helpu'r plant i ddysgu sgiliau diogelwch dŵr pwysig a sut mae'r gwasanaethau brys yn ymateb i ddigwyddiadau sy'n gysylltiedig â dŵr.

Roedd yn llwyddiant mawr, gyda'r plant yn mwynhau'r profiad tra'n cael gwybodaeth werthfawr am gadw'n ddiogel o amgylch y dŵr. Roedd tîm y Frigâd Dân yn gymwynasgar iawn, yn ddiddorol ac yn addysgiadol, gan wneud y sesiwn yn hwyl ac yn addysgiadol i bawb a gymerodd ran.

Diolch yn fawr iawn i'r Frigâd Dân am eu hamser a'u cefnogaeth yn darparu cyfle dysgu mor bwysig. Roedd y plant wrth eu bodd gyda phob munud ohono!

Water Safety Session at Fairwater

Today, the children from Radyr Primary School took part in an exciting and educational water safety session delivered by the Swim team and the Fire Brigade.

The session included demonstrations and hands-on activities using a rescue sled and throw ropes, helping the children learn important water safety skills and how emergency services respond to water-related incidents.

It was a great success, with the children thoroughly enjoying the experience while gaining valuable knowledge about staying safe around water. The Fire Brigade team were incredibly helpful, engaging, and informative, making the session both fun and educational for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to the Fire Brigade for their time and support in delivering such an important learning opportunity. The children loved every minute of it!
