BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 🥇🥇🥇🥈 What a weekend for Cardiff Met Rowing. We leave the British Championships with 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 2 Championship records. 🥇Open Beginner Single Scull. 🥇Open Beginner Coxed Four. 🥇Womens Beginner Double Scull. 🥈Open Beginner Double Scull.
From first-time racers to experienced competitors, every crew rose to the occasion, reaching their final and delivering performances to be proud of throughout the weekend. It was incredible to see that recognised beyond our own club, with British Rowing describing “the success of Cardiff Metropolitan University Boat Club” as “one of the recurring themes across the Championships.” They even summed up our weekend perfectly, saying “The Beginner events belonged to Cardiff Metropolitan University Boat Club.”
A huge thank you to Coach Cox for his unwavering support and dedication this season that made this all possible. Your belief in every athlete has helped us achieve something truly special.
Thank you also to Welsh Rowing and Met Sport for your continued support throughout the season.
