A big thank you to Arts & Business Cymru for their support in offering Tracey Brown, Stakeholder Manager at Rubicon Dance a place on a Professional Development Programme in terms of coaching and mentoring with Rhys Griffiths, Relationship Manger at FinTech Wales.
The coaching and mentoring programme started in October 2025 and today Rhys and Tracey had their final session and were joined by staff from Arts & Business Cymru so that they could feedback to them about their experiences of the programme.
"It's been a fantastic to be supporting Tracey through the A&B Cymru coaching programme. We've been exploring Tracey's new role within Rubicon and back at the start of the programme we set some specific objectives to support her ongoing development and explore, how she can further grow and make an impact at Rubicon Dance. We've been exploring, her current approaches, their impact and how Tracey wants to move things forward in the future".
"It has been so timely in my new role and really important to speak with someone external to the organisation that I work for and someone from a non arts background. The sessions naturally had a clear focus without overloading me in any way at all and giving me too many things to think about. My head felt so much clearer after every single session with Rhys. It has also helped me to think about where and how I would like to use my strengths and skills in the future".
From a business and arts perspective we both really recommend the programme to others.

A big thank you to John Lewis Cardiff for a donation of ยฃ1,500 to Rubicon Dance through the stores Community Matters Initiative.
This is great news for us as a registered charity and will help us to continue the work that we do (and have done for 50 years!) with people of all ages and abilities across Cardiff, Vale of Glamorgan and Newport.
"At John Lewis Cardiff, we believe in supporting organisations that bring people together, which is why we are delighted to be donating to Rubicon Dance through our Community Matters initiative. For over fifty years, Rubicon Dance has been dedicated in reaching those who are often excluded from the arts which is profoundly inspiring. Through self-expression and fostering deep connections, Rubicon Dance doesn't just teach danceโthey nurture individual potential and build stronger, more inclusive communities. Supporting their mission as a registered charity is an honour, as they truly challenge traditional boundaries and ensure everyone has a chance to do what they love."

Marla will share her experiences working for a youth driven organisation called The Resilience Project, facilitating workshops on themes such as climate anxiety, burnout and cultivating collective care, often bringing creativity into these sessions as an essential part of this work. She will also share learnings, project inspiration and tools for navigating climate emotions in ourselves and those we connect with.
There will also be space for questions and group discussion to explore how we can better support ourselves, our communities and young people when it comes to our emotional wellbeing whilst navigating such turbulent times.
