Another valuable experience on the international stage for Mebel Mano Kurian at the European Junior Championships.

Every match at this level was another opportunity to learn, grow and gain experience against some of Europe’s best young players. Mebel put together a strong run, winning two rounds before narrowly falling to an older and more experienced opponent from Bulgaria.

The focus now shifts to the next challenge as preparations begin for the World Junior Championships in October. Onwards and upwards! 💪

Weekends are for looking back. We recently visited the newly formed Vale of Glamorgan Wheelchair Badminton Club to deliver our introduction to badminton qualification Shuttle Time.

Eight coaches joined the session to develop their understanding of a number of fun inclusive games that can be delivered at their club. The session follows a successful Be Active Wales Fund which will allow the club to grow sustainably in the future.

West Wales Graded badminton competition is back! ✨

The 2026 West Wales Graded competition will take place on Saturday 26th September at the Pembrokeshire Sports Village, Haverfordwest.

Haverfordwest Badminton Club

Mebel Mano Kurian is competing at the European Junior Championships in Tatabánya, Hungary, taking on some of the strongest young players from across Europe.

As coach Raj Popat explains, the tournament will be a valuable opportunity to test where his game currently stands, while gaining experience against different playing styles and tactical approaches.

Our Rising Stars Luke Betts and Samara Britto claimed bronze in the mixed doubles at the U17 Gold Gloucestershire this weekend. 👏
