The garden is located on Arran Street, to the rear of the Mackintosh Sports Club & Community Centre (itself located at 38 Keppoch Street). For further information on volunteering at the garden, please send us a message.

Due to the extremely hot weather, Mackintosh Community Garden will be open from 10-12pm tomorrow on Saturday 11th July.
We are closing an hour early for the safety and comfort of our visitors and volunteers.
Normal opening hours will resume 10 - 1pm once free heatwave has died down!

We urgently require toiletries for clients who are destitute or facing extreme hardship, especially during this heatwave. Our stocks are depleted and any donation will go to people who really need it.

Thank you to everyone who visited the community garden today. It was a busy 3 hours of weeding, planting, playing and treasure hunting 😀
We've got a little visitor in the garden at the moment. We're keeping a close eye on this baby seagull until it's ready to fledge. It's healthy and happy and being looked after well by its parents.
We'll still be open as usual on Saturday mornings, but please be mindful of the baby as adult seagulls can be really defensive of their young.

It's almost Saturday! Which means the community garden will be open 10am-1pm 😀
There's lots of planting and weeding on the to do list if you want to get involved. And outdoor games if you just want to chill out.
We're very proud to report we've grown an actual Sunflower without it getting eaten by slugs, taken out by a falling tree branch or dug up by a cat trying to use the planter as a litter tray 🌻
