Cardiff & Met Hockey Club is based at the National Hockey Centre, Sophia Garden’s near the city centre. We currently have 7 Mens Senior Teams, 5 Ladies Teams, 7 British Universities & Colleges Sports (BUCS) teams and Youth Teams for boys and girls of all abilities from U9 to U18.

We are looking for an ambitious, passionate coach to lead our Women’s 1st Team & performance program competing in the England Hockey League (Conference West), Europe and Domestic competitions .

📣 We are thrilled to announce that Luke Hawker has been appointed as our new M1’s head coach 🏑
Men’s chairman Mark Shelton commented: “I’m delighted to announce that Luke Hawker has been appointed as men’s first team coach. Luke brings a world of experience having captained the men’s first team through their rise to the premier league, and is the current assistant coach to the Welsh National team.
I’m looking forward to working with Luke to bring continued success to Cardiff & Met HC”
We’d like to thank Luke for his outstanding work with the Women’s performance program that has seen them rise into European & England Hockey League competitions.
Chairwoman Fran Roberts commented: “Luke has been integral to the growth of the Women’s Performance Team for many years - without his passion and dedication we would not be where we are today. Thank you!
We wish Luke every success with the Men’s Performance Team, and look forward to seeing him embark on this new challenge.”
