Starting a new 5-a-side team can feel a bit daunting.

Will the standard be too high? Does everyone know the rules?

We checked in with a new league team after their opening fixture. The result hadn’t gone their way, but they told us they had all enjoyed it, the opposition were welcoming, the referee helped explain anything they were unsure about and everyone was keen to return the following week.

That’s exactly what we want from our leagues.

You don’t need to be an established team or have everything figured out. Get a group together, turn up and give it a go. We’ll help you find a suitable division and get playing.
