A huge congratulations to Hugo, who scooped silver medal at the Welsh Championships yesterday in the 8 & Under category! 🥈

This represents a great achievement for Hugo and his lead coach Ewan after a season of lots of practice and competitions where he has made excellent progress👏

We’ve got lots of club members competing well at the Welsh Championships this week which still has a couple of days left to run... well done to all involved!

Our Youth and Junior half-day camps are the perfect way for players to stay active, improve their tennis skills and have fun with friends during the summer holidays.

Led by our friendly LTA-qualified coaching team, each session includes:

🎾 Tennis coaching, drills & mini-challenges
🏃 Fun warm-ups & ABC games (Agility, Balance & Coordination)
🏆 Team competitions & games
⚽ A mix of other sports and activities to keep things fresh

✅ All abilities welcome
✅ Non-members welcome
✅ All equipment provided

Players just need to bring a drink, snacks and plenty of energy! 💪

We’ve had some truly amazing Tennis Leaders over the years - young people who have gone on to achieve fantastic things both within tennis and beyond the sport 🎾

We’re excited to announce that our next Tennis Leaders Course will take place this July!

What is Tennis Leaders?
Tennis Leaders is an LTA-recognised course for juniors of comprehensive school age. Participants complete a short workshop with a qualified tutor, covering some of the basics of coaching and leadership within tennis.

Following the initial 3-hour course, Tennis Leaders can then volunteer on local club programmes, helping them develop valuable skills in:
✅ Communication
✅ Organisation
✅ Confidence & teamwork

Many of our Tennis Leaders volunteer with us as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award or Welsh Bacc, and lots go on to complete further coaching qualifications and badges.

The course is open to:
🎾 Junior members and coaching participants from all of our partner clubs who are of comprehensive school age.

Players from other clubs may also be invited if spaces remain available.

Another busy weekend competing for our junior members, alongside our thriving Saturday tennis programme. Great to see so many players out on court!

🎾 Huge congratulations to Audrey, who was part of the South Wales Red Girls team that finished second in their County Cup event.
🎾 Well done to Hugo, who crossed the border to compete in Wiltshire and went undefeated in his 8U match play event-brilliant effort!
🎾 A big well done to Milo, who was also in 9U action across the border this weekend in Oxtalls, Gloucester.
🎾 And finally, congratulations to Farzain and Max for a great win against Allt Yr Yn in the 16U National League!
