Street Football Wales

A very wet day at Colliers Park, Wrexham, yesterday afternoon delivering another introduction to Street Football Wales session for the FAW Youth Conference.
The young people who attended said they enjoyed to format of play, the quick tempo and left understanding the values and the importance of why SFW exists.

Thank you again to the FAW FA Wales for another great opportunity to share our work with you all.

We’re really pleased to welcome Specsavers as Event Partner for our Road to Mexico tournament this September.
Specsavers have a strong commitment to supporting people experiencing homelessness, so it feels like a really natural fit.
They’ll be helping us bring businesses together for a morning of Street Football, raising funds to help get Tîm Cymru to the Homeless World Cup in Mexico – and they’ll be putting a team on the pitch themselves.
We’re looking forward to welcoming their team, introducing them to some of the people at the heart of Street Football Wales, and giving them a proper taste of what we do.
A big thank you to Specsavers for getting behind it.
And good luck to their team. We’ll see you on the pitch.

Yesterday was a real privilege.
We were proud to deliver a Street Football Wales session at the FA Wales Youth Conference at Dragon Park, introducing so many young people to more than just football, we introduced them to the values that shape everything we do at SFW.
Teamwork. Respect. Positivity. Consistency. Participation.

These are the qualities that football teaches both on and off the pitch and they’re the same values that will carry Team Wales as we represent our country at the Homeless World Cup in Mexico in January.

As the International Day of Friendship approaches, we look back at Oslo 2025. Our ladies team won the FIFPRO FairPlay Award by showing kindness, respect and togetherness when the team from Greece lost their kit at the airport. Team Wales offered their away kit for them to use, to enable them to play that day.

Friendships sparked and the days that followed were filled with laughter and friendly competition between the two countries.

Be someone’s friend today, sometimes a smile or a quick “hello” can make a big difference.

A new league starts for our ladies tomorrow evening after a successful campaign finishing second last season.

As well as that, all our usual sessions are on and we look forward to seeing you all there! 🙌
