This was my first go at picking hedgerow blackthorn sloes. It was too hot in the daytime so I waited until around 7pm in the evening and carried on until sunset. 🌖 I took some tea with me, which I was glad of. It look about 2 hours to find and pick 490g, so just over 1lb. Some good ones were not accessible thanks to some inconsiderate dog owners not cleaning up after their pets. I wore gloves while picking the sloes so I didn’t get scratched up too much. I also got covered in those round spikey ball-shaped seeds that stick to everything like Velcro.
