The World Club Basketball Tournament 2026 (WCBT2026) delivered another memorable weekend of international basketball at Canterbury Christ Church University, bringing together eight teams from the USA and UK for two days of competition, entertainment and community engagement

Following an action-packed opening day of group basketball, which was opened by Councillor Keji Moses, the tournament moved into Finals Day on Sunday, with teams competing in the Championship and 'B' competition.

After an impressive weekend, USA's Lakenheath Lightning were crowned WCBT2026 Champions, defeating fellow American side New York Court Kings in an exciting Grand Final

New York Court Kings finished as tournament runners-up, while Richards Elite completed a strong Finals Day by defeating 94ft Lab to become the WCBT2026 'B' Final winners

WCBT2026 FINAL HONOURS:

🏆 B Final Winners – Richards Elite 🇬🇧

The weekend brought players, coaches, supporters and communities together through international basketball, while the New York Court Kings also delivered an excellent youth coaching session

At the heart of WCBT is a cause that has been part of the tournament's journey since its inception, after the founder Eric Douglin received a kidney from his wife Mandi
