A breach of the PCA First Timers entry conditions has been identified following the PCA London First Timers (2) event.

When registering online for a PCA First Timers contest, all athletes are required to complete a disclaimer and signed declaration confirming that it will be their first time on stage.

We can confirm that a competitor in the Masters Men's Physique (35 and Over) category has been disqualified from the event and issued with an immediate ban from all future PCA competitions.

The competitor did not place in the category, so no other athletes' results, placings or awards are affected by this decision.

We are grateful to the members of our community who brought this matter to our attention. PCA relies on the vigilance and integrity of its community, and we will always consider credible information provided to us in good faith.

We consistently emphasise throughout the season that PCA operates a zero-tolerance policy on eligibility breaches.

In today's era of ubiquitous social media, it is crucial that athletes adhere to PCA's rules and regulations and do not enter a competition they are not eligible for.

Such breaches are unfair to the genuine first-time competitors the category is designed to protect, and will not be tolerated.

Remember - if you break the rules, you will be caught.

A new chapter in PCA history 🛡️🗡️

We are delighted to unveil the all-new PCA Overall Winners’ Shield.

Making its debut at this year’s PCA British Finals, this prestigious new award will be presented alongside the iconic PCA Gold Overall Sword, with every Overall Champion receiving both awards.

Created exclusively for our Overall Champions, the shield has been designed to reflect the prestige, heritage and significance of winning the PCA British Overall title.

Following qualification through the largest competitive season in UK bodybuilding, featuring the highest number of athletes and qualifying shows, the PCA British Finals is statistically the hardest bodybuilding title to obtain in the UK.

The PCA Overall Sword will always remain one of the sport’s most recognisable awards. As the next step in the evolution of PCA championships, the introduction of the Overall Winners’ Shield marks the beginning of a new tradition at the PCA British Finals, further recognising one of the greatest achievements in British bodybuilding.

This is just the beginning. Following its introduction at the PCA British Finals, we will be exploring the opportunity to introduce the Overall Winners’ Shield across all PCA National Championships, ensuring even more Overall Champions receive an award worthy of their achievement.

Due to overwhelming demand with the 2026 Masters Championships, Masters will have multiple shows for 2027.

PCA has long prided itself on inclusion and accommodation, and in recent years we’ve seen a growing number of Masters athletes. This inspired us to create a Masters-only event with standard PCA categories, but split into additional age splits to ensure fairer competition and recognise the achievements of Masters athletes.

All classes, with the exception of bodybuilding, will begin at age 35 to mirror existing age splits.
Masters bodybuilding will begin at age 40 to align with the starting age of PCA Masters Bodybuilding categories. Larger categories may additionally be split by height where necessary.

Anyone who qualifies for the British Final will be able to compete in their relevant age class or open class where applicable.

● 2027 PCA British Finals

The SA Championships will now be an Open Pro Qualifier and Pro Show for 2026, offering a total prize fund of R220,000 - the highest prize fund for a South African bodybuilding event. Selection to represent SA at the Universe contest will also be awarded. Additionally, we will be providing all-new bespoke PCA SA Championship medals.For the South African Championships, all athlete registrations and show bookings must be completed (in advance) via the official www.pcaofficial.com website. Registration for the SA Championships is now open via the PCA website, together with a new category format, aligning with PCA International standards.All other PCA SA events - H&H Classic, Garden Route Casino Classic & SA Showdown continue as usual.
